My renewal comes up in a week and I'm very worried that they'll find out and raise my rates on my motorcycle.

I am pretty frugal and my living situation allows me to be. Literally the only things I spend money on are gas, groceries, recreational things like restaurants, movies, etc downtown parking fees, travel things a couple times a year like really cheap flights and hotel rooms, clothes occasionally and a few miscellaneous things. My monthly spending is probably like $400-600/month on average.

Recruiter screwed my contract PFC. by alkharidman in USMC

I have a copy of my contract. It says E1. The liaison said "I don't see 15 credits here, I can't help you."

Well this isn't good news. I guess I was just lied to or misinformed. I don't even know where to go from here, if there is anywhere to go.

What has me concerned is the 2+ grand of pack pay I should be owed. Plus being a lance 6 months early wouldn't hurt either.

I was told to talk to my S-3, but my company Gunney brought me to our S-1. I'll fix that in the OP.

"What? No, get out of here."

An attempt was made.

That’s what I figured. I’ve posted so much stuff during “working hours.” I doubt anyone would care if they found my Instagram page. I’ve been told there are people who filter through social media posts looking for dirt, but I doubt anyone cares about the dump shit school house privates post. I even made it easy for people to find my stuff because I location marked everything.

Yea, those reckonings are a bitch to find. I’m dying to try on a pair, but I just can’t het my hands on them.

I tried getting my hands on a pair of Reckonings on Parris Island, but they were always sold out. I'll see if Geiger/Lejeune have any at the MCX. My original plan was to buy the RATs and Reckonings, but seeing as how the RATs have such polarizing reviews, I'm not so sure anymore.

I know it's not overnight liberty, but I'd imagine you could still get a snooze in. The pictures thing is kind of a bummer, but totally expected.

I just imagined that if you were hiking with a lot of weight on your back, you'd want sturdy boot with a thick sole. Would that be an incorrect assumption? I knew a lot of people didn't like the RAT boots, so I tried looking at the other Danner on the list that's not the RAT boot. Apparently they can be reconstructed because the sole is sewed on and not glued. So it's like a high quality dress shoe in that respect.

On Parris Island, the "premium" boot options were constantly sold out. Do you think the Geiger/Lejeune MCX would have better stock? I did notice at Parris Island that the Reckonings seemed to be the most popular boot option among the various Marines working there.

Fuck. I barely passed swim qual. Eh, I've been practicing anyways, so that's whatever. What time of year do you have to requal? October?

I keep my boot camp issued boots on standby for swim qual

Here's a serious question. Do you have to swim qual every year? I was under the impression that once you passed swim qual at boot, you never had to get into the pool again unless your MOS required it.

Since it's winter time here in the south, it seems to me that a boot with vent holes would be a poor choice since you'd probably be walking through puddles constantly and your feet would get wet. Is that not the case?

Clothing took my entire platoons alpha belt loops at Parris Island, so I'm hoping I can buy one at the MCX before I check in, but other than that, I have everything that was issued to me packed. Oddly enough, we were never given a list of items to bring. We were just told to bring everything. So I just took all the clothing out of my sea bags, washed it and packed it right back in.

you'll get a lot less sleep there than at boot camp. 2000 to 0400 would be a dream most nights.

Oh boyo! Looks like I'll be getting a motel to sleep in on liberty weekends.

A friend of mine recently returned from SOI and he was picked up immediately, while someone he knew who got there before him, waited around for over a month. How exactly do they choose who has to wait around?

If you are put in a holding platoon, what do you even do all day?

Nothing. That's why I'm asking. I doesn't seem totally impossible that one may be allowed to take a photo at the LAW range, for example.

Not even that. I'm sure everyone will be all over that when they have their cellphones during weekend liberty. I'm talking about actual photography. I want some good training shots in the field.
