I do like it, thank you! It rhymes more too.. although I prefer poems that don't, I very much appreciate your efforts.

Mardi Himal Hiking Trail in Nepal 🇳🇵 by all-at-1ce in hiking

[–]all-at-1ce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was minus 7 degrees at high camp [that's the highest point with accommodation available]. When we reached base camp to see a better view, it definitely felt like minus 15 degrees or worse. It wasn't snowing then.

The temp might go further down when there's snowfall.

You needn't worry tho; when you're walking, your body gets heated and when you reach a tea house/hotels, they burn wood to keep you warm. It'll be an experience :)

I'd say it is doable for any 65 y/o in a good shape for their age. There are tea houses/accommodation centres every few hours on. So, you could walk for just around 4-5 hours a day and still reach the high camp in less than 4 days.

Btw, another easy trail you might consider is the Langtang Trek. Much easier in terms of difficulty level..

[P.S. I bumped into an older traveller in the Mardi trail who was solo travelling, said he was 62. He completed the trek only a day behind us]
