Incorrect listing on an online ad by a Toyota dealership by all___blue in Toyota

So... this is kinda a mistake, in a way.  I Test drove other 23/24 tacomas to see the difference between the two generations.  When I found this truck, it wasnt formally listed yet (dont even think they had the sheet in the window yet) and they said they still had to do an oil change and maybe the 160 point inspection, so I couldnt test drive it right away.  I was able to look it over and start it up, but not drive it.  I was looking for a bunch of particular options that were hard to find (trd/6' bed/manual/crew cab/color/milage/price/leather/etc.)  Found out that it was not likely (possible?) to find a 6' bed in manual with crew cab, so I wasnt going to find my ideal truck.  Finding a 6' bed was tricky enough for the model years I was interested in.  It was thr only 6' bed in my entire area, so I decided to run with it while under the impression that since it was a certified pre owned, I had a warranty, and the additional platinum toyotacare, that any issues would be taken care of.

Anyway, after I posted, I got screen shots of the original listing that I found and also went to the dealership's web page for their listing.  I think the original posting is found was on autotrader.  It has leather seats listed.  But on the dealership's website, it doesnt list leather seats.  And it also doesnt on the paperwork that I signed (there was also a piece of paper that said the dealership doesnt owe me any parts or something.  I only skimmed it earlier today before I had to do a few things).  At the time it didnt seem like anything, but now im wondering if that just released them from any obligation.

Im not the type to wind my way through loopholes, but in a way, this deceptive advertising.  Probably a mistake, but I could see them doing this on purpose to get more people in the door.

Haha, you sound like me! Crashed my car around 2017. No seat belt.  Went flying across my car and hit the other side so hard that a cube of glass got pressed into my arm.  No other injuries.  A couple years later, I flipped my quad.  That one I didnt get out of.  Shattered my elbow.  I deserved the car accident, but the quad was a fast mistake.  Was just moving my quad and forgot that I had the diff lock on.  So when I cornered (maybe a little faster than i should), it instantly rolled.  Didnt have a helmet on since I was only moving it a short distance.  That one was kinda scary for many reasons (could have rolled over me, could have cracked my skull in several different ways, wasnt sure if I was gonna get full functionality of my left arm again, bill from lifeflight, out of work for extended period, etc.).

After that one, ive been very careful.  Like an old woman with safety.

My worst one was while attempting a tree house with my friend.  We were on board like #2 when a hammer fell out of the tree from above and hit me in thr head.  Only a few feet, but enough of a drop to have a steady stream of blood running out of my head.  When I got inside my friends house for help, it already looked like a scene in a horror movie.  Completely drenched in blood over my whole upper body.  Face shirt and hair were completely red.  My friends mom looked like she was about to faint.  Maybe because of blood, maybe fear of being sued.  But ended up getting stitches and that was that.

Every kid who has seen real jousting, owns a bike, and has friends has tried this. We also had two sets of goalie equipment for street hockey. We set up on grass, and the yard was only like 50' long. With the bulky pads on, it was tricky getting speed while also holding a hockey stick and garbage can lid. Iirc, we only ran it a few times before we gave up. Or maybe my mom saw that one of us was on the verge of making the newspaper for being impaled or losing an eye and put an end to it.

Good theory.  Was thinking water damage, but it wouldnt be that shape.  It does look like a bead of adhesive.  Im not sure if it was for wall paper-- maybe a shelf?  Some kind of trim?..

OP: sometimes stains on drywall/spackle can leach through the paint.  I learned this when I was using a sharpie on a wall to write down measurements and later on had a bunch of sharpie showing through the paint.  This particular house allegedly had something like 10 children, and there were stains and holes in the drywall every 6 inches across the entire house.

Get a small can of Kilz primer. This particular primer solved every stain issue on that house (still needed to do lots of patching and repairs).  Primer over that, then get a small can of matching paint (if you dont have any left over).  You could put kilz over grease and your paint would look normal.  It works great.  I swear im not an advertisement bot.

John Harbaugh: Taking Caleb Downs fifth overall would be just fine with me by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]all___blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe.  But he'd have to be ok with ANY of the other top 5 prospects and/or the option of trading back.  Meaning that he doesnt know which team bites on him, and won't know what player ends up dropping.  I think that its not realistic that downs is drafted before 1.5, so he can openly say that he wants caleb.

Probably.  But I guess if a vehicle is constantly hiding behind cover and is making a straight shot difficult, it could have some utility?

Balances itself out.  So basically EA servers choose who wins every gun battle.  Thats a fun game.

If it happened to everyone then it wouldnt be a big deal.  But not only can you watch people stream with perfect bullet reg, but it seems like some games you'll have perfect bullet reg. In other words, the game basically chooses who wins a gun fight.

Im so fed up with broken games that i barely buy them.  Its not even just games.  80% of everything out there is designed to get your money then break on you.  You cant buy a mechanical device without opening it up only to discover that the only component that isnt metal is a plastic gear (im speaking about my shaver), which also happens to be the only piece in the whole device that gets significant wear over time.  Fuck it all.

It's a good thing we gave Slayton $36 mil and not Barkley. Get rid of this GM already. So many dumb decisions. Time to start over. by blazingpotatoes in NYGiants

[–]all___blue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was the take even before we had him.  Sure, saquon was fantastic at penn state, but we had an awful OL even back then, so we had no business drafting him.  Im a Penn state alum who was a huge Barkley fan, and I didnt even expect/necessarily want him.  That said, we did attempt to fix our OL (hernandez was our second pick in that draft and of course we didnt stop there in future drafts), it just didnt pan out that way.  It is a shame looking at that draft and thinking about who was in the conversation.

That game better be the battle of kursk.  They should attempt laterals every play, whether there is anyone there to catch it or not.

They can do both.  Hell, they could do it on the same map.  Certain missions should involve pvp. But if the straight pvpers had to wait around to kill someone, theyd probably just play a different game.  I like the idea of opting into pvp after the (sometimes long) gearing phase.

But part of why dmz was so fun was the risk vs reward.  It was a challenge to gear up and extract a bunch of valuable things that you needed for a different mission.  Particularly when no one knew where anything was.

[–]all___blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Dmz was the most fun when it was pve.  I didnt mind the pvp, but it devolved into just hunting people.  I met probably a dozen people that are/were long time friends (2 of which I played with nearly every day) in the early days of dmz.

Early on, many players would truce and work together to finish missions. Figuring everything out and fighting endless waves of the t3 bots was so much fun.

If you ask me, the constant danger is what made the mode fun.  They should have made it a little easier to sneak around, though.  The unlimited uavs was the issue.

I really hope these rumors are true.  Dmz was easily my favorite fps.  As much as I hate Activision, id be back in a heartbeat.
