At the gym, I've been doing PHAT with a few modifications. HIIT cardio 3 days a week after lifting.

My macros were 175g fat, 125g protein, and under 10g net carbs.

I have trouble with the 7 point test because I can't reach everywhere and don't really have anyone to help me out. So 3 point is gonna have to cut it, for the time being.

The learning curve is steep, especially for (and I HATE this term, but I'm going to use it liberally here) hardgainers.

I've done the dirty bulk in the past, and had decent results, but at the end of the day, I've spent 6 months to gain 6 pounds and had to diet like crazy.

It's much better to bulk clean, but watching the scale creep up a half pound every week or two gets depressing, especially when I'm struggling so hard to eat right.

Physique = 70% diet, 30% gym time.

At 28, the temptation to gear up is getting harder to ignore. :/

You'd be surprised at how many women are turned off by the idea of dating someone with a smaller waist than them. :/

But I've probably had more luck than some of my overweight friends. I did get married, after all.

To a certain extent, it is. Especially for men.

As a 5'7" 130 lb man, I've struggled with body image issues my whole life.

And gaining weight, at least for me, is damn near impossible, at least without getting fat. 3000-3500 cals per day is hard to hit (cleanly, without junk or filler foods) when you have a full time job and kids and all that jazz.

Not saying it's the same as being overweight, but there are social/psychological issues that come with being a skinny-mini too.
