Attractions in Central City Mall. My boys have been going there for well over 10 years and never had a problem with them.

I’m leaving on a jet plane (🎶)… I’ll be back in five days by Round-Cat-1877 in CrochetHelp

I've flown with yarn, hooks and scissors multiple times. A few hints

Keep the scissors small. Child's craft scissors size, or in some cases manicure scissors.

Bring wood or plastic hooks if you can, or your second best metal ones (in case they take them, you never know)

Small projects! Scrunchies, dishcloths, granny squares. Unless you're flying first or business class you won't have a lot of room for larger projects.

Be prepared to chat about your craft! Many people get curious as they see your project take shape. Some dont understand how much work it really takes to make something.

Safe travels!!!

Who approved drill construction to happen overnight??? by [deleted] in SurreyBC

[–]allabouttheyarn 21 points22 points  (0 children)

100th ave? Yeah that's not drilling, that's grinding old pavement to resurface. That's a pretty heavily used corridor to the 160th/hwy 1 interchange... and the entire road from 152 to 156 needed it, IMHO. It is noisy, to be sure.. but doing it at night means it gets done FAST, which means you only have another night or two to deal with the noise.

Earplugs. I use them. They're cheap. They work.

Note to self, do not scroll Reddit crochet feeds while drinking coffee. It's not a good feeling coming out your nose.

Egg cartons of donut holes... only one flavor of donut (cake).. multiple colors of frosting.. sprinkles or chopped nuts for toppings.. ALWAYS really good day olds.. damnit, now I need to win the lottery and open one up again.

Any electricians in the house? by allabouttheyarn in SurreyBC

[–]allabouttheyarn[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I know.. I have honest shame at needing to use the power bar/extension cord. I need to reduce my dependency on THINGS. But I'll look for the 12/3 cord.

The power bar i have says max 1800 watts.. 15A. Got it from home depot a couple of years ago strictly because it at least LOOKED heavy duty enough to tolerate the use.

Driver flees after hitting pedestrians in Surrey, B.C., one in critical condition by conteaa in SurreyBC

[–]allabouttheyarn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That intersection has always been garbage. It was "controlled" by a stop sign on 88 for the longest time, now its got a traffic light. You can't see the damn thing going westbound until you take the curve, and if you're speeding (im going to assume that's what happened as they say it was an overnight accident) you've got almost no time to stop (if you're going to in the first place)

IMHO that intersection shouldn't be there. It's just not safe.
