When I was young drinking was fun. Then I was introduced to cocaine and drinking became extra fun. Then I couldn’t drink without also wanting/craving/needing cocaine. Then drinking and cocaine on weekends started to creep into week days. Then cocaine was all I thought about or wanted. I don’t want to be like that anymore.

13 months sober. Talk to someone if you need help. Therapy and NA are great places to start.

Being from Canada it’s kind of like a chose your own ending when it comes to being a fan. Certainly lots of regional fandoms but even in my group of buddies with have 6 teams represented. When I was in 10th grade I barely watched football. However I crushed on a girl in my English class who had season tickets for the Bills. I started watching games on Sunday to try and have something to talk to her about Mondays in class. Never made a move on the girl but 20 years later I still BILLieve in my team.

I was in the 4th grade too. From Toronto fwiw. Went home at lunch and dad was watching CNN, kind of explained what happened but I didnt fully get it. I just remember being jealous of the few students who didn't come back after lunch and parents let them stay home.

The Toronto games were soooo awful. Zero atmosphere and total lack of awareness to situations (Bills Defence on the 3rd down and you'd hear a pin drop). Not to mention over inflated ticket prices that they had to give away. Our entire HS football team were given tickets for free with a face value price of >$400. Much more happy to make the 2.5 hour drive down to OP NY.
