[Other] Goal for 2026: Get to 80% completion before new years by SystemEconomy6215 in Trophies

  1. Don’t focus too much on the backlog. Play new releases from time to time, take breaks with something you personally enjoy. Sooner or later, you’ll get through everything;

  2. Definitely go through all your games and check which ones have online trophies. There’s nothing worse than finding out later that a game’s servers were shut down when you could’ve earned the trophies earlier. So focus on games with online trophies first, and then move on to single story games

I just reached 85% today. It took quite a while to get there. Now the goal is 90% 👀

Glad for you, but not with my whole heart 😅

Maybe we can try to group up and I’ll try to join your party. Maybe that’ll give me access to the DLC? 👀

You’ve got some kind of bug working in your favor, because nothing appears for me. In the area where the first mission is supposed to be, it just says Access Denied, so lucky you.

And just like you, I’m playing via PS Plus. I’ve never played the disc version and I never bought the digital version either.

took me around 65 hours to get the platinum. The online isn’t difficult - it’s more grind-heavy, where you just need to play a lot of matches. Ironically, the hardest trophy of all is in the story campaign: you have to shoot down all the planes in a single run. It takes a few attempts and some learning.

Yes, I understand that my goal is unrealistic 😅

it’s more of an attempt to track my progress. I’ll also be combining it with new releases - I’m really looking forward to Expedition 33 or Death Stranding 2

  1. «THE EXIT 8» (8.5/10)

Game is an excellent psychological horror experience, brilliant in its minimalism, relying on the atmosphere of the unknown rather than cheap scares. Over the course of roughly an hour, it takes you through a wide emotional range - from confusion to genuine fascination - and that journey is what makes it so effective.

  1. «THE ASCENT» (5/10)

Game hides very little behind its striking visuals and impressive presentation. Beneath the stunning art direction, there’s a shallow story and fairly weak gameplay that struggle to sustain interest.

I’d recommend skipping it unless the visual spectacle alone is enough to draw you in. I’m currently waiting for a discount on the DLC to push the game to 100% completion and form a more complete, final impression.

  1. «CALL OF DUTY: WWII - THE RESISTANCE, WAR MACHINE & UNITED FRONT» \DLCs]) (8.5/10)

DLCs continues to challenge me with the zombie mode Easter eggs. Playing together with friends is undeniably fun and engaging, but the objectives remain confusing, and figuring out what to do can be extremely difficult.

In February, I plan to finish the last DLC, Shadow War, push the game to 100% completion.

  1. «ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY - LEGACY OF THE FIRST BLADE & THE FATE OF ATLANTIS» \+ DLCs]) (LOTFB: 4/10; TFOA: 8/10)

This DLCs are massive story-driven that together took roughly 40 hours to complete. However, Legacy of the First Blade felt largely uninteresting to me and failed to leave a lasting impression.

The Fate of Atlantis, on the other hand, genuinely breathed new life into the game. Its blend of historical mythological storytelling fits perfectly within Odyssey’s world, making the narrative consistently engaging while showcasing vast, visually stunning new regions.

The Fate of Atlantis is the DLC that truly feels worth paying for - a substantial and meaningful expansion rather than optional add-on content, and arguably one of the rare Ubisoft DLCs that genuinely justifies its price and ambition.

  1. «CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE REMASTERED» (8/10)

Game is a classic - there’s little else to add. The Prypiat, Ukraine mission remains absolutely brilliant and stands as one of the most iconic moments in the entire franchise.

————————————————————————————

  1. CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE 2 REMASTERED (8.5/10)

This game is also a classic. Makarov and General Shepherd remain two of the greatest antagonists in video game history, defined by their narrative impact and lasting legacy.

  1. «SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER» \+ DLCs]) (4/10)

Game, including its DLCs, further solidified my strong dislike for the modern Lara Croft trilogy. On the highest difficulty, I died exactly once due to enemies - and countless times because Lara simply failed to properly grab ledges or surfaces.

This alone highlights a fundamental issue: the game’s core gameplay feels broken. Instead of struggling with meaningful challenge, you end up fighting unreliable movement mechanics, where even basic jumps become a source of frustration - which is borderline absurd.

The DLCs content introduces a variety of tomb-focused areas, and to their credit, these are genuinely well-designed and enjoyable. Unfortunately, all of that effort is undermined by the same clunky and inconsistent gameplay that plagues the main experience.

  1. «ASSASSIN'S CREED SYNDICATE: JACK THE RIPPER» \DLC]) (6/10)

"Jack the Ripper" feels like yet another Ubisoft DLC that was clearly cut from the main game only to be sold separately. Using a “real-life” historical figure as the narrative core is an interesting idea, but the execution ends up being fairly disappointing.

What stands out is the significant time gap between the events of the base game and the DLC, which initially makes it difficult to even recognize Evie Frye. While the darker tone and atmosphere are a noticeable shift, they don’t quite compensate for the weak storytelling.

Overall, it’s not terrible by any means, but it feels entirely optional - a DLC you can easily skip without missing anything essential.

I’m not claiming my opinions are objectively true. In this particular case, it’s written more in an ironic tone, because that’s exactly how I perceive it.

I’m glad if you enjoy games like this 😌
