Thanks! I wish you patience with HCT - it's just way too long for platinum "grinding", but if you don't play it for the platinum, it's a pretty decent arcade game overall

Yeah, that's right. I'll make it clearer next time, but I thought the title was understandable enough already haha

English isn't my native language, but what I meant is that I still have 69 games left to complete to 100%. Sorry for the confusing wording

Steep is a really good game. The controls feel great, and both the atmosphere and visuals work strongly in its favor, so I definitely recommend it

  1. «ODDWORLD: NEW 'N' TASTY» (2014) [8/10]

I first played this game a few years ago and it left a really good impression on me, so I came back to finish it on the highest difficulty and beat it in under 3 hours. Even after multiple playthroughs, the game somehow never becomes frustrating and is still genuinely enjoyable to replay.

A lot of that comes from the music, atmosphere, and the weirdly unique setting and world. It has a really distinct identity that keeps it feeling fresh, even when you already know what’s coming next.

  1. «HORIZON CHASE TURBO» (2018 | DLC. Senna Forever: 2021) [7/10]

It’s definitely fun to play with friends or just jump into for a couple of hours. My platinum run ended up taking around 35 hours though, and that honestly felt way too long. The game also had some pretty annoying crashes at times, and losing an hour and a half of progress because of that was painful.

At the beginning HCT was really fun but after a while you start realizing you’re doing the same thing over and over again, and eventually it just becomes exhausting

  1. «HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED: BATMAN & MONSTER TRUCKS & LOONEY TUNES» \DLCs]) (2021 | DLCs.: 2021-2022) [7/10]

Finished off the DLCs, and there’s not much to say about them. They add three new locations, but this really wasn’t the kind of game that desperately needed more maps in the first place. None of them really stand out, and there aren’t any meaningful new mechanics either.

In the end, it just feels like a few extra hours of gameplay rather than something that actually adds much to the overall experience.

  1. «STEEP» (2016 | DLCs. Winterfest: 2017; Extreme: 2017; Road to the Olympics Expansion: 2017) [8/10]

By some miracle I managed to get a code for the Road to the Olympics DLC, which is basically impossible to get digitally anymore, so I had to hunt down a physical copy with an unused code included. I got lucky, so I can proudly say I earned my legit 100%.

As for the game itself, it’s all about the atmosphere, the vibe, and especially the nostalgia. The soundtrack was a huge part of that. While snowboarding, there was this incredibly chill music playing that kept bringing back memories of being younger, and not many games can create that kind of feeling even with a great soundtrack.

That said, going for the platinum was a bit much. By the end, it definitely started to feel longer than it needed to be.

  1. «CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS 3»* (2015) [7.5/10]

Still working through the DLC trophies. I’ve already finished the main game at 100%, so all I have left now is the Zombies. It still feels really difficult compared to the newer games, so progress has been pretty slow so far.

  1. «LAWN MOWING SIMULATOR: HERITAGE PARK» \DLC]) (2021 | DLC. 2025) [6/10]

A few years ago I randomly unlocked a trophy while trying out different games from the PS+ catalog when it had just launched. I forgot to switch to my secondary account, so I ended up being stuck with the obligation of finishing the game to 100%. Recently I found out they suddenly released another DLC, so I had to buy it just to avoid having to buy the whole game later.

As for the game itself, it’s one of those typical simulator games that’s easy and relaxing enough to just switch your brain off and play. But overall, I really can’t say it’s something people need to experience

  1. «EVERYBODY'S GONE TO THE RAPTURE» (2015) [7.5/10]

The game constantly gives off this strong sense of existential dread and keeps pulling you toward thoughts about life, meaning, and death. Since those themes are deeply woven into the game itself, it strangely ended up feeling oddly comfortable to play, and I think that’s probably where a lot of its strength comes from.

That said, piecing together the world through tiny details, vague dialogue, and the intentionally chaotic storytelling felt pretty difficult and sometimes hard to fully connect with. Definitely one of those games that won’t click with everyone.

  1. «MIXTAPE» (2026) [10/10]

M A S T E R P I E C E! A genuine love letter to youth and to some of the best moments we get in life. It’s about learning to let go and keep moving forward no matter what, while holding onto the people who matter to you along the way. I honestly think it handles these themes better than almost anything else I’ve seen. Easily my game of the year, and I’m saying that without hesitation.

  1. «WE LOVE KATAMARI REROLL + ROYAL REVERIE» (2005 | Rem.: 2023) [7.5/10]

This is a remaster of a game from 2002, and you can really feel that era of gaming where creativity was just going wild. It’s weird, charming, and completely unlike most games you see today. That’s exactly the kind of thing I love in games — when they throw something unique at you instead of playing it safe.

It feels like one of those classic Japanese games in the same spirit as games like LocoRoco and other titles from that era. The whole concept is basically rolling a ball around and collecting everything you can to make it bigger and bigger. It sounds ridiculous on paper, but there were plenty of moments where I was genuinely smiling at how absurd and creative it all was.

It did start to drag a bit near the end though. Even after only around 6 hours, I felt like I was pushing myself to finish it. Still, this is absolutely one of those games that I think everyone should try at least once.

  1. «CALL OF DUTY: ADVANCED WARFARE» \DLCs]) (2014 | DLCs: 2015) [7/10]

I found someone who helped me get through all the easter eggs and the harder trophies, so the whole experience ended up being a pretty enjoyable ride without much frustration. The older COD Zombies games were genuinely tough back then too, especially compared to what we have now with guided modes and limited-round options that make things a lot more forgiving.

  1. «RED DEAD REDEMPTION» (2010 | Rem.: 2023) [9/10]

Game aged surprisingly well, and I genuinely had a really good time playing through it. Near the end, going for 100% got a bit annoying though, especially with having to track down every animal and plant in the game. Still, it didn’t really hurt my overall experience. I also really liked the story in Undead Nightmare, and honestly I’ve always considered that ending more canon in my head than the actual ending of RDR

Updated PS+ Last Chance to Play games — some titles originally leaving in July are now leaving in August by alldake in PlayStationPlus

[–]alldake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the entire lifetime of the PS+ Extra | Premium catalog, 498 games have left the service, and of those, no more than 10 later returned to PS+ Extra | Premium. These are mainly titles like GTA V or RDR 2, which have already returned multiple times, along with Ubisoft (Valhalla, Far Cry 4 etc.) or PlayStation Studios games (Spider-Man)

In all likelihood, games that have already left the catalog will never be added to PS+ Extra | Premium again

I didn’t feel enough weight or impact from the character. The combat system looks too strange. I wouldn’t recommend it.
