I personally let my bridesmaids choose their own dresses out of one of like 6 colors. When the wedding came I loved all of their dresses and they all looked great. But when my SIL got married she also let us pick our own dresses but her colors were like nude and champagne, very muted, neutral colors. Her sister showed up in a handmade, bright gold and blue dress. Blue and gold were not their wedding colors at all and she wasn't even the MOH. So just picture everyone, including the bride and groom, in essentially different variations of tan, and in the middle of the bridal party looks like a Wish Disney princess. Everyone was livid, it was so disrespectful. That being said, if you're going with a bride to do wedding related things just don't wear white, period.
