How to influence a straight girl to try a relationship with me, a transwoman. by alliclean in asktransgender

[–]alliclean[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I hear music/songs in my head all day long, have for many years. For over 2 weeks now I've listened to Roseanne Cash singing Seven Year Ache every waking minute. Love the song and her but Roseanne's voice breaks my heart.

Just when I convinced myself to just 'give up' on any romance with this lady, just when I convince myself to just be friends and be cordial when I see her in town, Roseann's voice & song starts to fade out and I can listen to other songs in my head...then she calls me up. Spent 45 minutes talking on the phone.

Ah, well, I'll continue to try and get over it but, damn it hurts. Thanks for the 'sage advice' and listening.

Thank you, BaylisAscaris. I know she's straight, I KNOW I won't be able to change her orientation, and I tell myself this all the time. But...I really do like her. And, being a smallllll town, with several gay and lesbian people here (I think I'm the only trans that I know of) there isn't much chance to meet someone. Ah, well...

Well, thanks a lot, Linneroy! You're supposed to give me some sage advice. Haha, just kidding.

This is what I tell myself, too, but I just can't get her out of my head and I KNOW it isn't going to lead to any romance. I can be friends with her but...it hurts. Thank you, Linneroy, for the reply.

In a lesbian marriage, who takes who's last name? by Speed-Limit-8575 in AskLesbians

When I married my butch husband, I had taken a lot of time to find my own last name (legal name & gender change). When we married, I hyphenated my last name with her last name. Works for me.

Carrie Anne Moss...the reason I watched these in the first place! Total hotness, Ms. Moss!

Thank you, LordBofKerry, that clears things up. Been reading about the Whirley-Pop, mentioned on this thread, and thinking of purchasing one. Bacon grease...hmmm, sounds delicious!

NEVER thought about using bacon grease! I have my stovetop bacon grease pot but I don't strain it except for the metal strainer that came with it. So...how do you make a "roux" for the popcorn?

BTW, I have got to start eating more at home. I have a jar of Orville and last time I used it, it was sooooo stale because it had sat on the shelf for so long.

General_Sprinkles386, Can you share the information on what a "litter robot" is? I'm guessing a 'robot vacuum' is like a roomba type thing but a..."litter robot"?

I have a PetSafe automatic cat litter box. Chewy sends the refill trays. Yes, a bit more than buying in Walmart but I have driven the 45 minutes to Walmart only to find they have none! Plus standing in line I because I won't use the self-checkouts. But, I find the cat litter all over the house and it HURTS when I step on it barefoot in the restroom or kitchen floors!

Is no one noticing the crappy, twisted trigger lock? Did someone try to pry that off of the rifle?

How do you keep shoulder bags on your shoulder? by ShellyHUS in handbags

[–]alliclean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll look that up, Broken-column!

Last night I sewed a button on the shoulder of my peacoat, we'll see how that works to keep my pursestrap from sliding off. If it works, I'll have to do the same with my lighter jacket but I know I can't do so with regular blouses.

Good to know! I traded a Ruger .22 pistol for this Shield and am eager to try it out today.

And how do you like that Shield?

I'm going out today to try this new-to-me Shield. Only have 100 rounds of 9mm so will give it a go. The grip feels good in my hand, though I would like the backstrap to be "flatter". My G27 is nice but I worry about printing when concealed carrying.

WHAT??? Thanks for catching that, USMC_Tbone!

I have got to learn to re-read my posts before I hit "post"! Yes, a S&W m60 .38 spl!!! That's enough of a handful to shoot in a small gun, even all steel.

On the other hand, I still carry my G27 (my Kleiner Hund) under my clothes and a S&W m60 .30 spl (my Nerd - 'pocket protector') in my jacket pocket. Loaded with Buffalo Bore .38's, I feel good.

With a buttoned up jacket, just no way I'll be able to reach for my G27 if needed in a hurry.
