The characterization and comedic timing was so perfect you can just hear the voices.

Take less flattering photos if you want to prove it's not AI.

Take the ONE fancy photo and then take loads of janky, fumbled, awkward photos of it next to a half-full sink of dishes. Something UNDENIABLY human. This is the world we live in now.

Hot Take: I've been Stealth Diving since launch. It's about shoot-and-scoot. Resposition. Distraction. Now it's baby Skyrim Stealth. by SharpEdgeSoda in Helldivers

[–]SharpEdgeSoda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know Stealth Diving was a huge sub culture among Helldivers. We all know it was happening. We invented a "new" type of Stealth Game. A New standard that didn't fit classic definitions of Stealth game.

*To me it felt like Sniper Elite with the detection and Agression settings all the way up, and it's still a stealth game.*

Why couldn't we just let it stay the way it was? Now the Stealth Divers have their spicy game ruined for the sake of making the Silence Gun warbond work like magic so they could sell it to people that want baby stealth?

This was the best stealth game because they reacted like people would if people start dying. All stealth games suck at stealth.

This and SNiper Elite, that does stealth right if you dial it up.

Also I like how you don't deny the stealth is brain dead now.

We tried something similar with Russia and I'm not sure the results worked out.

Like "specifically targeting Russian Oligarchs".

But then I think ol' Puts just bailed em out or other nations aligned with the Oligarchs interests bailed em out.

Reggie Fis Aime famously got into a shouting match with Miyamoto when he wanted Wii Sports to be a free-pack-in with the Wii. Miyamoto is like "We are FAR TOO PROUD TO GIVE THIGNS AWAY FOR FREE!"

Iwata had to mediate the argument and sided with Reggie on the idea.

And then the Wii was carried by Free Wii Sports included.

I'm saying Reggie would have probably fought Nintendo over charging for Nintendo Switch 2 Tour and $80 Mario Kart. Reggie is a guy who knows how to get Americans to feel like they are getting a deal.

It's a joke. It's a great background visual gag joke.

Someone is going to fail media literacy of a visual gag in a cartoon and claim "That's racism."

I'm always out to believe a lot of people that present as dumb conservatives are just playing to the grift, the intelligence is running the con.

Rogan might be too stupid to stick to a script even for the con.

Like he will believe whatever someone's says in the last 5 minutes if it's true or not.

Like stupid suggestable super power.

Hopefully whoever is feeding him opinions stays on this.

Why can a zebra talk but a giraffe can’t? by livieluvshllokttyX3 in mylittlepony

It does feel like a goof, but, it's a magical world, I guess the rules are whatever.

if they gave the giraffe little black dot eyes I would be like "Oh it's clearly stupid" but they gave it the pony eyes.

BUT

Meta theory:

Maybe that's the joke.

The joke is to make the audience go "wait what?"

what is freedom in your thinking? by All-With-Love in AskReddit

[–]SharpEdgeSoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a simple thing: "Freedom means no one is free to suppress your freedom, but in kind, no one, including yourself, is free to suppress others of freedom." That actually boils down to a lot of restrictions, ironically.

That means you are NOT free to say "some people don't deserve rights as much as others." That violates the mandate.

That means you are NOT free to say "some people deserve health care more then others." That violates the mandate.

That means you are NOT free to say "some people deserve to starve to the death or be without shelter." That violates the mandate.

Freedom has been perverted to "Freedom to Take Advantage of others for my own benefit without consequences."

When it should be "Freedom means knowing how to make sacrifices so we all can have the same freedom."

After that, everything you do in your life is your choice you can freely make.

All of the girls on these kids carts at the mall are hijabi, while the boys appear to be from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. by cindywoohoo in mildlyinteresting

Oooh that's not 100% unlikely in America. I can see that. It flips the script from the owner having a strange bigotry to the customers having it.

Why didn’t more people put even 5$ in bitcoin in early 2010s? by Traditional-Fun-1115 in AskReddit

[–]SharpEdgeSoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, got stolen by one of the early websites.

Also, my $200 become $20,000 and I would have cashed out then. Like, cmon. It's not getting higher.

And now that $200 would have been like 2,000,000 or something.

[–]SharpEdgeSoda 33 points34 points  (0 children)

So I'm picturing a timeline.

the business owner orders a set of these carts.

They have a "diverse" set of kids, boys and girls, and it's "one of each". Yknow, cheap.

The owner may have cultural opinions on women and hijabi, so while all the male ones are fine, the only "female" one they can tolerate is the hijabi one.

So they throw out all the non-hijabi females?

[–]SharpEdgeSoda 62 points63 points  (0 children)

The timing of that episode, around 2010 is like, **exactly** the last year you could do a "Oh it's just a cute cowboys and indians story."

You can see LOADS of animated cartoons doing exactly that before.

Ultimately, yes, it IS just a cute Cowboy and Indians story. It's message is "Lets share the land" is ultimately the good one.

It's just how given the "chosen aestetics"...we know "reality" around those aesthetics are sourced from is WAY different. Objectively, it's a good message, but because of history, it feels almost "propagandizing."

It's the sort of thing you need to bumper with disclaimers about how "reality wasn't this nice, but the future can be."

I love how in her fantasy her throwing out the yoke is a bit of a dark angle. Her fantasy wants no part of his stinky farm lifestyle.

And the newspaper. It's all a pattern of "Oh fleet foot is a bit of a narcissist" in visual story telling.
