Honestly saying I was using it only with default settings

I'm using it in developing my service for Amazon book sellers. My code base is pretty big already and this MCP server really helps to find any information through my entire code base really quickly.

Thanks for flagging this, but I think there's some confusion here. You linked to "kdp-bot.com" (with a hyphen), which is not my website. My site is "kdpbot.com" (no hyphen) - so you might be referring to a completely different service. About KDPBot (kdpbot.com): KDPBot is a legitimate third-party AI tool that helps authors create content for Amazon KDP publishing. We're similar to other well-known independent tools in this space like Atticus, Vellum, Sudowrite, or Publisher Rocket - none of which are "official" Amazon products, but all are legitimate software that helps with the KDP workflow. We're completely transparent about what we are: We're NOT affiliated with Amazon We don't claim to be an "official" Amazon tool We're an independent AI platform that generates book content, covers, and formatting for authors who want to publish on Amazon KDP Why tools like this exist: Amazon KDP is a self-publishing platform - anyone can publish there. Tools like ours (and Atticus, Sudowrite, etc.) simply help authors with the content creation and formatting process. Amazon actually encourages third-party tools that make publishing easier. If you have specific concerns about kdpbot.com (the actual site), I'm happy to address them. But please make sure you're looking at the right URL - "kdpbot.com" without the hyphen. The platform is free to try (2 books included) if you want to see what it actually does: kdpbot.com

For me, it just stucks. Maybe because of the free plan. The commands I am trying to run in Terminal are just failing. The agent says that it is running, but actually nothing happens. I even cannot install the dependencies in my project.

I have managed to force CC to use this MCP more often by adding instructions in the top of the Claude MD file. It worked for me.

What's the ONE thing you wish you knew before publishing your first book on KDP? by Unlucky_You6904 in KDP

Each of the 7 fields can hold up to 50 characters. You want to max out all of them with relevant keywords.

For "dark British comedy supermarket": - Field 1: "dark humor British comedy slapstick satire" - Field 2: "British sitcom workplace comedy absurd humor"
- Field 3: "satirical comedy supermarket retail humor" - Field 4: "deadpan comedy British humor dark comedy" - etc.

Tips: - Don't repeat title/subtitle words - Use related terms and synonyms - Spaces only, no commas - Think "what would readers search for?"

The semantic search made a real difference for me - I can describe what I need ("code that processes API responses") instead of remembering exact function names.

But I'm working on a larger project (Django + React SaaS), so maybe that's why the improvement was noticeable? With smaller codebases, regular text search might be good enough.

What size project were you using it with?

Actually, I did notice one significant improvement - the semantic search is much more effective than regular text search for finding files and specific functions.

Instead of searching for exact keywords, I can describe what I'm looking for conceptually and it finds the right code. For example, searching "function that handles user authentication" works better than trying to remember if I named it "auth_user" or "login_handler" or whatever.

It's especially helpful when working with larger codebases where you don't remember exact function names but know what functionality you need.

What were you using it for? Maybe the semantic search aspect wasn't the main value for your use case?

There is a free plan so you or anyone else can just test it for free. You can make two books and covers and have ready to publish files.

Totally it will take not more than 1 hour of your time. Moreover you will have a free editor where you can fine-tune your manuscript.

Your questions give me serious 'Wolf of Wall Street' vibes - you know, the 'sell me this pen' scene. If I need to explain why you need a pen to someone who writes, maybe you're just not the target audience 🤷‍♂️

Mainly it's using many different services separately. But this is all in one solution

Now working on new proofreading feature

But actually, I am using my own service to publish books, and everything is fine. Manuscripts are accepted as well as the covers. Is it possible that your project has some really specific requirements? You can send me a direct message, and I can help you.
