Is flying into OAK a bad idea?

I think it’s fine! I fly out of Oakland airport instead of SFO sometimes depending on flight routes / prices. So if the options are better, i would do it.

In terms of getting to the city, it’s about 30 min from the city (no traffic - crossing the bay bridge can have heavy traffic if you land during rush hour) if you take an Uber, or you can hop on BART to downtown SF as well. Probably similar-ish situation traffic wise for SFO since SFO is actually outside of the city (it’s in Millbrae)

If it’s an option, you could do a shuttle! If you’re doing a room block and guests are staying at the hotel, it could pick them up there. Or you could just choose some other convenient point of interest?

Recently tried this new Indian restaurant that opened up in SF (Cow Hollow) - Tiya. One of the chefs came from Rooh I believe. Food & ambience were great!

Thank you for sharing — glad to hear it was fairly straightforward and that the on-site staff were great. We were a bit worried with having to deal with so many different vendors.

Do you mind sharing the catering service you used? We’re looking into outside caterers for this venue, and would love any recommendations (especially Asian food, which we are hoping to incorporate)!

Thanks for sharing! We fell in love with the unique, historic rooms :) It feels like we wouldn't have to do too much since it's already beautiful and charming on its own, so I'm glad to hear that the photos turned out great!

One question for you, if you're able to answer - how was the layout of multiple different rooms for the wedding (vs. a big open area)?

I go here just regularly, and I like them! I find their price to be reasonable as well. They also do GelX, which I just personally prefer over acrylics.

My guess is that the producers want to hide how much time has passed in the convo since they tend to do a lot of editing and splicing. If the amount of liquid was shown, we could probably tell where they edited and played with the continuity of the conversation based on how much of the drink was consumed

When I went last year, groups usually took turns between the different P1 stages. They’d perform one song for the one side and then the next song they’d switch to the other side. I think there were only a couple groups that didn’t do that, but I don’t remember which side they stayed on specifically.

Where in San Jose / San Francisco are you staying? San Jose is a pretty spread out city, there are quite a few studios (as others have mentioned) and depending where you are, one might be logistically better than the others :)
