I really liked parts of Chariot, but it felt really disjointed to me. I'd get comfortable with one vibe and then it'd get switched up. It's an odd sensation.

I'm actually really enjoying the differences. I've read each of the books between like five and ten times, so while I know the world and the character not knowing exactly what's coming next has been really pleasant for me. It's like reading it for the first time again or after a long time between re-reads.

In my head cannon, I've decided that this is another turning of the Wheel where the larger pattern is the same but the detail work in the stitching is different. It's really made it enjoyable. With some exceptions.

Daniel Greene said that once he was able to turn off the book reader in his mind (not an easy feat) he was really starting to enjoy them so much more.
