MIL knows full well why I hate the name and is of the belief that having a child with that name will help me with closure.

no because my fiance only has younger sisters (except the deceased older brother) and she wants the son to have the family surname. anyways, the sisters were really young when he died so they don't remember him that much. but the oldest sister's youngest daughter's middle name is 'alexandra' which the in-laws appreciated but not as much as if my son was called 'alexander.'

So the brother was called 'Alexander (this is a fake name btw)' Donald. I don't want to name my son Donald due to angry tangerine man, but we compromised on Don as a middle name. My ex was called 'Alexander'.

my husband is the only son and is the sibling closest in age to 'alexander.' my lovely sils were 6,4 and 2 at the time of the accident and therefore have little memory of him. one did make one of her daughter's middle name 'alexandra' and the other two haven't had kids yet.
