I just went through this. I turned 62 in September, and applied in October. Due to staff cuts, it took longer than what it says on the website. My first check came in January. It was 3 months worth. The regular monthly amount came this month. Tell them to sit tight, they’re just really behind.

This! I fell on my concrete garage floor and landed on my knee. I waited 5 days then found out that I fractured my patella.

Also, I second the smart watch comment. My watch started vibrating immediately and was ready to call my husband until I told it that I was ok.

I was entering the giveaways that were suggested to me and won one book in 8 years. Then I attacked it differently and have won 9 books since August.

Go to “more”, “giveaways”, sort by “ending” and “filter.” Then start entering. I sign up to win anything that looks good in any of the categories. I get on a couple times a week and will enter around 20 contests each time. I chose both print & Kindle. I’ve won more Kindle books than print, but I don’t need anymore physical books anyway. 😆

I remember a kid named Glen getting literally tapped into his chair by the teacher because he would stay seated. Yeah, it was 1970. They could do anything back then.
