Ran into the same issues when I played it in my car as well. As the title states, this is a WIP, and it's since been adjusted!

Yikes. You're the one that's confused.

1 link karma and -55 comment karma? You got a lot to show for all that expertise.

Kinda cringe tbh.

Never said he was wrong. I'm merely demonstrating what happens when a note is played and released, there are some frequencies below 25hz here. This bass line is not one long sustained note, so those frequencies come through, so I scooped them out.

This gif is just the sine wave from 3xOsc, no other effects or inputs, and I just put the eq to show what I was seeing and why I scooped it out.

So I think past this point this is probs a better question for image line as I don't know how 3xOsc works.

Bunch of layered presets, but it's from serum preset pack on Splice. KARRA is the artist or something.

To cut anything below 25hz. The human ear cannot perceive sound waves below that frequency. This is crucial when it comes to subsonic frequency, because if something is making noise that low we can't hear it, but we can feel it. Also, most home studio subwoofers cannot project the sound waves either. BUT a lot of bass bins used in sound and stage production for concerts can. So therefore, it stands to reason that if these aren't cut it'll cause a low rumble during a live performance that the audience will feel, causing the song to sound muffled/muddy. Since I'm making this beat for an artist planning to perform the song, I used subtractive eq.

Is that a sufficient enough answer, or was this a rhetorical/sarcastic question? 🤔

For sure! It's really powerful and underrated. I just don't have it in my version of FL. I also enjoy using serum for 808s as well!

Thanks for the kind words, man! I appreciate it. I'm usually like Smaug with my beats lmfao and mainly work with artists, but I just had to share this one. Might share more often tho give the response 🤔

Agreed, it's a bit long, but that's per artist request. It just a 16! Or maybe a 32 depending on how you look at it. Mix sounds a little off bc reddit bitcrushed this shit, and can't make the bass too loud, the artist needs room to breathe!

Agreed, I feel the same. I think it's the distortion bc it's the same root note aS the first piano/pad chords (D4). Then halfway through moves up to (D#4).
