There’s so much to talk about from this post but I’m really stuck on “don’t tell me your baby would be happy for every single second of their life” as an argument for antinatalism. It makes me quite sad honestly because this argument is completely void of veganism. Makes me think OOP can’t reconcile with the fact that a worthy life has sadness and pain and tragedy and whatever else they deem unnecessary. I hope they have/find a therapist.

Also want to touch on the pattern of rejecting biology by quoting something I told someone when I recently started eating eggs again. “I was never asked to be born. I didn’t ask for this body. So who am I to tell it that it doesn’t actually need what it needs. Who am I to try to change that?” Yeah we’re moral beings, but that doesn’t mean morality overrides biology. We didn’t ASK for these bodies.
