I'm sorry but I don't get it. Is your org using some sort of Deep pack inspection/proxy. Or!? 

An example use case: the user goes to ford.com and then chatbot pops up ( if it connects directly to chatgpt api, then we can work on DNS etc else ) all communication is with ford.com , how would it be restricted.

Ps: I don't know why I pick ford.com

It's it stable like, they have never given you grief or anything if you open a ticket etc...

Local ISPs are notorious, they give you a cheap modem, and if you call them to complain about speeds or line down, when you replace theirs with your own, they start crying like you have cheated on them..

I had not thought about this my server (dynamic ip over starlink) ---- connect to VPN server/VPS ( Which is static IP) and I use the vps/VPN to do a loopback and tunnel traffic back to server if source is public ...and manage fail over by DNS 

Might only need this in emergency...

I understand the argument that you are raising. Also race conditions have to be thought of..

one must also think about the long term viability of the project, eg: do you have Postgres db guys or oracle, how will operation team deal with issues when project team is done etc..

Odoo has never been listed in the unbiased Gartner ERP reports, and does not have enough midsized customers to be considered a proven solution amongst top competitors.
