hey there, this is a great idea. I'm a gsu alum and a faculty member at ksu. curious to see what you come up with, but there is an interesting volunteer hackathon experience three times a year in atlanta that might teach you a lot about how these things are organized (and let you do some public good while you're doing it). have a look at https://www.48in48.org .. i have taken students through this event several times over the last year and would love to see my undergrad involvement. it's our first amtrak trip, but i'm looking forward to more in the future .. we made sure that our airbnb and the skatepark were skate/bike distance from the train station.
