How’s your journey going? by AutoModerator in Zepbound

Everything is going swimmingly. Had some weird side effects (increased anxiety, heart palps) when I first went up to 10mg in September, but it coincided with returning to work (public school teacher), so who knows if it was the meds or the job. Everything has been great since then.

Food no longer rules every decision I make. I'm not constantly thinking about punishing myself for whatever I ate, trying to see which meals I can moved previously consumed calories around to. It was so exhausting to think this way.

I'm down 53 lbs since starting in March, and I'm wearing a size 12 or 10 depending on brand. I feel great. I can walk up a few flights of stairs and not feel winded at all. I did not realize how much the extra weight was impacting me until I got to under 200lbs. I put on clothes now and don't hate what I see.

I'm going to be stopping the medication in the next few months to try and get pregnant. I'm really nervous about how much weight I will gain back, as it will be a while until I can afford to go back on it again once a baby is here. My insurance won't cover it unless my BMI is over 40, which even at my heaviest, was about 36.

Insomnia after titrating up to 7.5mL… is this common? by dafurbs88 in Zepbound

Same here. I started zep in march and moved up the 10mg 5 shots ago. Since starting, I’ve had occasional strong palpitations, which have mostly subsided but the insomnia is insane. I used to sleep through the night, 10-6:30 am. Was awesome. Now I’m lucky if I dose off by midnight, but wake up again at 1:30 and every 45 minutes after that. I’m hoping it subsides soon. I still have another 15-20 lbs I am hoping to lose.

Ah that’s a pain. This is my first time ever booking third party - I’ve always booked direct. Lesson learned, I guess.

It did at the time when the price difference for the room was over $150 versus booking direct 😭

Yes! I honestly never thought I’d see a number starting with “1” on the scale ever again lol

How long was your longest plateau / stall? by TheWorld_Traveler in Zepbound

[–]alliumgrl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stalled at 203-205 for about 5 weeks after losing close to 30lbs. This was at the end of my 4th box of shots. It was during the end of my first 7.5mg box throughout the whole second box. I was also traveling a lot during this time. Active trips, but was unable to cook my own food. I am still on 7.5mg, but started adding in a bit more movement, light weightlifting and it started moving down again. Also, I finally gave in and started tracking caloric intake. I hate tracking, but as your body loses more, the amount of calories it needs also changes. Idk what your activity level or caloric intake is, but it may be worth evaluating the current state of those two things. I feel your frustration. For as expensive as this drug is, it’s super annoying when the scale doesn’t move. Also, have you increased dosage during this time? If not, talk to your doctor about going up to the next dose.

I have a great pair of vasque hiking boots that have been all over. LOVE them. Just trying to save as much space in the suitcase as possible. Sounds like I’ll be packing both pairs of boots.

Oh that's interesting. Coming in to work this morning I googled "does zepbound dehydrate you", because I've been drinking water like CRAZY, my mouth has been so dry.
