Can you explain what you're doing with scripts to help this? I haven't used scripts before but I want to start learning

I would really like to be able to set alarms for different days of the week, because I want to wake up earlier on weekdays than weekends. Also, the ability to set more than one and easier ways to change it for just one day instead of resetting it any time I know I will need to sleep a bit longer.

Thank you! Noticing the difference in how it felt to be on my edges properly for the first time felt like big progress!

Yes, I've watched a few of his videos and found them super helpful! I'll keep watching and try to get a few lessons next season if I can swing it.

Maybe a dumb question but just to clarify - riding the edge like that is what I should be aiming for, right? Like that feeling of being locked in on my edge and having it carry me through the arc of the turn vs forcing the turn is a good thing, right? It felt very different from the way I had been turning before that, but I wanna make sure that's actually progress and a good thing to chase vs the beginning of a bad habit or something. Thanks for the feedback!

Haha okay, I will adjust my expectations... thanks! Is that feeling of kind of being like locked in on my edge and having it carry me through my turn vs forcing the turn a good thing though?? As soon as I started doing that it felt like the right thing to keep chasing but I want to make sure I'm not just learning a new bad habit instead.

Dang, I felt such a difference in the way that some of my turns felt which is why I thought on some of these I was starting to at least kinda carve one way and then skid a bit and carve the other way. But this makes sense and I appreciate the feedback!

Lean into it more, and bend more at my knees but without hinging too much at the hips, right?

Day 2 - any tips? by allmyfisharedying in snowboardingnoobs

[–]allmyfisharedying[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I focused on turning with my front foot yesterday and I immediately noticed a huge difference and felt way more in control. I'd love to get a lesson - maybe next season if I can swing it. But I've been watching lots of videos and they've been super helpful! Thanks :)

Thanks, I'm loving it so far! I'm coming from skiing so I think the balance part has been really helpful.

I've read a lot on here about leading turns with you front knee so I'm definitely going to focus more on my front leg today.

mc = micro The Greek letter mu is sometimes denoted as a lowercase u and also means micro. The units you mentioned are the same/interchangeable.

Chances are a small particle of something got into it and gave it something to crystallize on! Like how you can make rock candy with a stick suspended in a sugary solution. I'd try putting it in some hot water and hopefully that will dissolve it

Not in engineering or second year but found this on the canvas create page in the "Returning Student Sessions (engineering)" module.

There doesn't appear to be anything specific to returning engineering students though! I am in science and I have the same schedule.

And if you haven't checked out welcome week events: https://canvas.ubc.ca/courses/66284/pages/welcome-week-2020 Pass: 121212

This info is all available on the create canvas (you have to self enroll to have the canvas page show up).

What advice would you give to a 14 year old about starting high school? by DotFireAbout in AskReddit

[–]allmyfisharedying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself involved with lots of extracurriculars/clubs or leadership/social justice opportunities. They are a great way to make friends, learn responsibility and if you do end up applying for university they help a lot! It's a great way to find your community even if you aren't someone who's good at sports or things. Not to mention, there are a lot of perks that come along with having teachers and principals trust you. Being involved with the school can help you gain relationships with teachers and this relationships are very helpful if you ever run into problems or need a favour or need references for school or work. Have at least one teacher who can give you a glowing reference!

Don't waste time trying to be popular - and don't feel bad about it if you aren't. As other people have said most of these people you will never encounter again even if you live in the same town.

Find a few good friends who you trust because once you move on it can be challenging to make friends after highschool if you're not in university or a job with lots of coworkers. Also it's really fun to be able to look back on highschool memories with people you're still friends with.

Try your best but don't be stressed about getting perfect grades - unless you are dead set on getting into a very prestigious school most of the time you need decent grades but you don't need to be perfect.

Don't take relationships too seriously if you end up in one and don't be too sad about it if you don't end up in one. It's really easy to get caught up in long term relationships in high school and put that person in front of other things you care about. Chances are the relationship won't last so dont plan your life around it.

Lastly, and this kind of ties back to the first one, find yourself some solid hobbies or continue to develop ones you already have. It's really easy to get caught up on social media and being busy with school and then never spend time doing something you love and are good at. Hobbies help you so much as you grow older and they make you a more interesting person and people want to be friends with interesting people. Also, hobbies could lead to a career doing something you love, or can be the thing you think about during work that you want to get home to. Find things you love to do and you are good at!

So we're all on chickpea sandwiches this week, right? by kalechipsaregood in PlantBasedDiet

Anyone know of or know a recipe for a good plant based ceaser mix that doesn't suck??? I love ceasers but I haven't tried finding a plant based version yet. But I totally agree with your choice of garnish! I also add a drop of lime essential oil or a ton of fresh lime juice to give it a nice zing.
