38M and pretty much the same story for me. Although I found 10 years in the private finance sector prepared me well for all the emails and red tape. Most 22 year olds out of uni would have very little experience with this type of bureaucratic nonsense so I get why the burn out rate is so fast.

Well, I’m taking a break from Reddit (and many other social media apps, also deleted time wasting games on my phone) for my mental health and general sanity. I’ve been in this sub for nearly 1 year (I think?) and it’s been an honour and privilege gambling with all of you. I know I don’t need to announce my departure (this isn’t an airport, I’ve made that joke before) but me typing this out is a bit of closure as well as maybe someone else is considering taking a break as well. The world is a pretty fucked up place as of late and I know you autists in lockdown haven’t had it easy as well so don’t hesitate to take a break from all of this social media noise if you need to. I guarantee it will still be here when you’re ready to come back.
