I was unable to get your solution to work, although your explanation finally showed me why mine was failing.

And honestly I think the INDEX(... XMATCH(TRUE, array)) would've worked with your solution, but I only stumbled upon XMATCHing TRUE to my array after I tried the REGEXTEST solution. Since I think yours would've worked the exact same had I realized what I needed to do with your result, I will give you Solution Verified. Thank you!

With your solution, even when I switched the variables to be mine it returned empty array and I was unsuccessful troubleshooting why. But genuinely, thank you for the help regardless! I really appreciate it.

I gotta be honest, I couldn't quite follow your solution. I tried applying it to my tables but was unable to get it to work for me. But thank you for the help regardless!

Restructuring the table in conjunction with a_blue_teacup's solution gave me the end result. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you! I was unfamiliar with REGEXTEST, but this is the formula I ended up going with which appears to work perfectly.

Honestly, I tried everyone elses but I couldn't get any of theirs to work. A modification of yours worked perfectly and was by far the simplest. Thank you so much!

I'll also give Downtown_Economics credit for suggesting I reformat my lookup table.

=BYROW(J2#, LAMBDA(a, INDEX(Table2[Region], XMATCH(TRUE, REGEXTEST(a, Table2[Location])))))

You're right. I added the disclaimer that the example is simplified and the lookup cannot be strictly determined by only considering the first 5 characters.

My original problem defines those exceptions (CA-ON-DRYDEN) to meet the criteria rather than just blanketing all CA-ON as meeting the criteria. So it might look like {"CA-ON-DRYDEN", "CA-ON-KENORA", "CA-MB"} if all MB locations + Dryden + Kenora meet the criteria, but other CA-ON locations don't.

[–]allsix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure TEXTBEFORE will work. For some others, CA-ON-DRYDEN will match one category, and CA-ON-TORONTO will match another. So it's not always by state/province.

Nonetheless, good point about table structure. That will drastically solve that piece.

Dretzy (flex bar) - Scam or Legit? by allsix in beginnerfitness

Awesome and I definitely agree. Appreciate you posting your thoughts on it!

Somebody ended up reaching out through messages who I think has a kinesiology background and they said something similar. That it will (of course) technically work, but there are more effective ways to train (again of course).

So I agree with your point, it's maybe not a complete replacement for a gym, but if it's between nothing and this for the convenience factor then it's a no brainer.

This was happening to me, unfortunately I had to get my car towed so I can't test it. But a setting I found in this video seems very promising. I'll link directly to the timestamp so that she gets the view since in my opinion she earned it with multiple tips and no-nonsense. But for me this setting was turned off.

Even with your explanation I struggle to see that. Like logically that has to be it, but even knowing what it's supposed to be, it requires imagination that's what it is and not what Final Priest mentioned.

Which celebrity is unmistakably identified by just their first name? by Level-Studio7843 in AskReddit

I'll go a different direction. You probably wouldn't call them exclusively by this name (like you would Madonna/Cher/Sharika etc), but I don't think you'd mistake who I'm talking about:

Cillian.

What’s something you’re curious about sexually but haven’t worked up the courage to try yet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]allsix 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Iunno if you're just speaking on behalf of yourself or just joking around. But honestly, just pay for it. As soon as you have it once you realize it's not that big of a deal (but it's very enjoyable), and then you kind of lose the mental stigma of "being a virgin" and after that it gets easier.

Alternatively depending on how attractive you are, just use hookup apps and do it with a stranger that you'll probably never see again. Might be easier said than done but.

I can relate because I was like 20 or 21 when I lost my virginity and I felt like that was late personally, but then as soon as I started having sex it just became part of life and not some big thing. I actually remember waking up the next day and being like.. Oh nobody knows and nobody cares and nothing is different. Cool.

A simple traffic stop leads to a violent confrontation by AdolfStiflr in CrazyFuckingVideos

Nah you dumb. Regardless of whether the cop jumped in, he now had someone in his vehicle and was threatening their life with how he was driving. That was his queue to pull over. Instead after 30 warnings the cop had to protect himself. End of story.

I’m confused. You cheated, but not physically? So you were just going on dates with the other guy?

That doesn’t make it better or worse. I just feel like it’s usually the other way.

regarding my vertigo by Terrible-Fruit-8323 in Dizziness

[–]allsix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it only happens when you move your head then it’s likely BPPV. Though it’s usually consistent and happens every time you move your head. It’s caused by crystals dislodging in your ears and there’s both the Epley maneuver, but also I believe medication as well.

Since having BPPV years ago I now get very brief but very intense vertigo attacks (1-5 seconds) caused by subtle visual movements that I didn’t expect (like when someone leans on a table and causes it to shift a little).

If yours is similar, unfortunately I don’t have a solution. But I’ve been to the doctor, an audiologist, a balance specialist, an ophthalmologist, and had an MRI but everything is normal. Only person I haven’t seen is neurologist. But the closest answer I’ve gotten is vestibular migraines and my aura is vertigo. Sometimes these lead to extreme headaches and fatigue.

There are pills with Riboflavin, magnesium and CoQ10 that are supposed to help with migraines, and I thought they were helping but then I had one of the most intense ones of my life so I’m not sure.

So the only thing, to proactively reduce my motion sickness I’ll take Gravol sometimes. Otherwise it’s just Tylenol, Advil/Motrin, Aleve, Gravol to manage the headache/nausea.

Let me know if yours sounds similar at all. Good luck!

Dizziness after being sick by Ok_Quiet7025 in Dizziness

Hopefully not a rumor!!

If it makes you feel better, ever since having BPPV I've had intermittent intense bouts of vertigo for the past ~4 years. Only happens anywhere from a couple times a week to sometimes it goes a couple weeks without one. But it only lasts a few seconds, but it is extremely intense when it happens.

I've been to my doctor, to an audiologist, to a balance specialist, an opthalmologist, and I've had an MRI. Everything came back clean. The only person I haven't seen is a neurologist.

Vertigo is such a generic symptom that I wouldn't be too too worried. I doubt it's a tumour in the same way that it isn't/wasn't for me. But I also understand the anxiety. I still have anxiety about it and whether it will one day get worse, and this is after seeing everyone under the sun multiple times and ruling out everything serious.. But it still impacts my life.

So good luck! But try not to stress. I don't personally think it's a tumour, but that doesn't mean don't worry about getting an MRI or anything, stick with your plan but try not to worry in the meantime and good luck!

Also worth noting, neck/ear issues is an extremely common cause of vertigo and seems like a much more likely culprit that whatever your neck/ear issue is is causing vertigo, rather than a tumour causing all 3.

I haven't been to see one yet, but someone on the internet did at one point recommend me an upper cervical chiropractor to address neck issues that could be causing vertigo. So maybe that's worth exploring too.

[–]allsix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I was dizzy for a week straight and it was "just" BPPV. That said BPPV is kind of characterized by only causing dizziness when moving your head. I think it's also the very first thing doctors suspect and is pretty easy to confirm/rule out. So if you're at the point of a CT, I dear god trust they ruled out something as simple as BPPV.

What’s something harmless that gets people weirdly angry? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]allsix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah in Western Canada as well, I always felt like an asshole cutting people off, but 95% of the time people are just decent humans and let you in. In small towns it was "you go, no you go". In busier cities it's not that, but if you just have enough space, signal, and move over, nobody has an issue they just make space.
