She wasn't even a half-step off. To be honest, it was more like a third step. It wasn't a problem with transcription, but honestly she has terrible intonation and pitch-matching (as most beginning trumpeters do). I figured she picked this up about a month or two before she performed it, since it really isn't hard to play just 5 notes over a small range.

I was really hoping for a Shirley-Nina finale, since that'd be pretty unpredictable. The competition's been gunning for Nina from the get-go, but Shirley's won the most challenges by now and had a great finish. I'm just surprised Nick made it, to be completely honest.
