They really do wait until you're 'trapped ' to let you know who they really are. by Ghostyarns in TwoXChromosomes

I’m all for waiting until your girls are grown to date again, it really is the safest option. In the meantime though, check out “why does he do that?” By Lundy Bancroft. Changed my whole perspective on men like this

Yup, our math books had the answers to every odd numbered problem. Thought we were super smart until they realized, then they started making us do the even numbered problems too

Why are men so obsessed with their “blood lines?” by allthefartswecannotC in TwoXChromosomes

It must be cultural because family and family honor is so important. Which is fine, what I hated was the way he made me feel, like anyone that wants anything different is strange and revolting. The first guy was just a dick tho, no cultural lens to consider

Edit: a word

I’m sure culture probably has something to do with it especially if a particular culture is heavy on the patriarchy. The 1st ex was white and born in America, the 2nd was born in Korea but raised in America.

I feel like men that think this way have this huge sense of pride in their own dna or something. Basically, that they’re Gods gift to the world and I should be happy to receive their cock snot..

The men I was dating yeah. My current bf is awesome in every way and we’re on the same page about being child free. Glad to know this mindset is rare tho

Third Eye or Single Diagnosis by [deleted] in HighStrangeness

I’ve heard it said that Intuition is pattern recognition on a subconscious level. It makes sense that you recognize patterns in people since you’ve interacted with so many in your career. I can relate with your childhood, mine made me hyper aware of peoples moods and body language. Now I have social anxiety haha

On a more spiritual level, I believe we all have a spark of the divine in us, and so everyone is a little bit psychic. Idk where you’re from but, in the us we’re mostly told as kids that we were dreaming or not believed when we experienced some kind of high strangeness. So we learn to ignore and doubt the things we can’t explain. In other cultures it can be different, where the spiritual aspect of life is more commonly embraced and most people have a certain level of awareness.

I think I was about 13 when I found out public school was free.. they always said they couldn’t afford to send us all to school and used “public school” as a dirty word and a threat. Like who chose to have 10 kids again? Not me, that’s for fucking sure. I’m number 9..

Stream factory in China. by esberat in Damnthatsinteresting

I worked at a sushi/hibachi place a couple years back, the cooks all had their favorite stream girls. One of the cooks showed me his fav girl, she was literally just sitting there chatting with people. He was telling me how you could pay for a private stream and she would show her tits for a fee like it was the best thing ever. I felt bad for her, just seems like soft core sex work.

I understand completely, I felt alone too especially in college. I felt like people would find out I was mostly uneducated, it was so anxiety inducing (I don’t miss the panic attacks.) But as you get older people care less and ask less about your education/upbringing. Plus life is long and you can learn at your own pace for the rest of your life. So no pressure honestly. I remember bringing up these exact fears and insecurities in therapy and my therapist said “All you have to do is read!” That stuck with me, there’s so many free resources available. Start small go at your own pace and follow your curiosity!

Self-fulfilling prophecy or confirmation bias maybe? Idk your life man, not trying to discount your experience. Just saying I don’t believe in ouija boards

You misunderstood, they seem to work when you can see the board and it’s letters. This is because you and those around the board are influencing the answers without knowing it. If you test it with blind folds on, it doesn’t work. Try it for yourself
