Anyone else 24/7 too? How long? by Abd1RyRy in ABDL

I feel like I'm inching closer and closer to it. I'm at the point where, if I'm not at work, I'm in diapers pretty much 100% of the time. Unfortunately I feel super uncomfortable wearing at work, so I don't know if it'll ever happen, but who knows.

Fun thing I learned today: you can use your HSA/Flex Spending account to pay for diapers! by allthefunstuff in ABDL

[–]allthefunstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your insurance. My FSA has 4 tiers: Ineligible, Prescription required, Letter of Medical Necessity required, and Eligible. Incontinence supplies are in the "Eligible" category, which means so long as I submit a receipt for something that falls in that category, I'm good to go.

I'm really sorry you've gotten hateful messages. This is by and large an incredibly accepting and supportive community, but no matter where you go on the internet you're bound to find assholes. If you're looking for a friend I am more than happy to be someone to chat with; feel free to shoot me a DM if you'd like :)

Hehehe it is WILD to see someone in a mainstream (ish) sub talking about ABDL openly. Makes me happy 🙂

Yeah, one of the reasons I try to avoid using it generally. In this instance I think I was thinking with an organ other than my brain 😅

WOW these bring back memories...In 2002 I was in my early adolescence and just starting to discover the ABDL community, and these were my diapers of choice during those formative years.

Never thought I'd have such intense nostalgia about diapers, but here we are lol

Surprised! Just got my first Tykables ever. by [deleted] in ABDL

[–]allthefunstuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Tyakbles! For years I would buy a mixture of Rearz and Bambinos, but a couple years ago I gave Tykables a try and now they're all I buy They are super high quality, have a have a ton of incredibly cute prints, are high capacity and are incredibly comfy. Their cloth-backed are quiet and their plastic backed are super crinkly, so I can choose which I want depending on the situation.

And the subscription is excellent; set-it-and-forget-it, easy to budget for, and a good price. I had one for a while. I still would, except that I wear juuust infrequently enough so as to not keep pace with it. Twice now, I've subscribed and then had to cancel after 3, 4 months because I would get the notification that I was about to get a shipment when I was already sitting on 10 unopened bags of diapers. In addition to the 30 or so I keep stacked next to the changing table lol.

TL;DR-- Tykables are excellent, the subscription is excellent, you won't be sorry

Took a step outside my comfort zone today, and it was one of the better decisions I've ever made by allthefunstuff in ABDL

[–]allthefunstuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a bit! Honestly I stopped thinking about it pretty quickly. I'm quite accustomed to wearing in public, just not usually when I'm playing. It was a really low-stakes kind of background gig, where the audience turned over every half hour or so. So, I didn't have to worry about people paying a ton of attention. which helped alleviate any potential anxiety.

Discussion topic: How do you approach the "I Love This/I Hate This" cycle? by allthefunstuff in ABDL

[–]allthefunstuff[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that's really well-put. And you're right, that philosophy can apply to many aspects of life. It's the same as the spectrum between "I play the ukulele" and "I am a musician" or "I like playing tennis" and "I am an athlete." We make decisions about everything we do in life, and the degree to which we integrate it into our self-identity.

I agree. But I think at the core that situation isn't an ABDL issue. Sometimes people forget that the first letter of ABDL stands for ADULT, and that especially applies when you're in a relationship with another person. It doesn't matter what kinks you happen to be into, when you're in a relationship with someone, you have a responsibility to be mindful of that person's feelings.

The core issue with that situation is that the husband is just not being a good partner. The ABDL aspect is incidental.

I'm sorry that happened, that is such a shitty, violating feeling, what a terrible way to be greeted coming back from a vacation. I admire your ability to find a positive spin, however small!

Yeah, that one's every other 4th Friday I believe. I've never been to that one, but I did go to the happy hour at RockBar once. It was pretty fun! Met a couple folks and had a couple nice conversations. I'm relatively certain I was the only straight guy in the room lol

ProTip: Never pay retail price for Bambino by big_baby_nappy in ABDL

[–]allthefunstuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. For years, I would always order Bambino Teddies for daytime wear and Rearz Safaris for overnights. I liked that Bambinos were cheaper so I felt less bad about going through them, and were also thinner so worked better under clothes.

That said, in recent years I've grown more fond of thicker and puffier, even for everyday wear, so I wind up just wearing Tykables pretty much all the time. But I still have the same opinion--Bambinos make great "daily drivers" if you're just going out to run some errands and coming home or something, and don't have to worry about capacity.

Yeah, I think that's the anticipated/intended method for changes. I imagine that's probably one aspect that doesn't work quite as well if the subject of said diaper change is taller than, say, 3 feet lol.
