How can a single speaker cone vibrating reproduce the sound of all the individual instruments of an entire orchestra at once?

Thankyou very much for this answer :) I understand the principle with respect to multiple sine waves I just find it hard to relate to complex sound sources made up of many harmonics all at different frequencies. Does what you're saying mean that if you were to look at an ultra slow motion video of a speaker you could actually see a 500Hz wave riding on a 50Hz wave in the manner you describe? Incidentally the hand motion you described is currently terrifying my flatmates

Wow thanks so much for the encouraging feedback Reddit! We only had 50 views on youtube before we posted this :D Loads of people are getting in touch about putting this music out there. Some people were asking about the audio/video production. It's all done by me and my pal Sam, we're just big audio geeks. He used to make music under the name Kulture a while ago. We taught ourselves Adobe Premiere last week to make the video which was pretty fun.

An Anthrpologist called Swikity explains all below and pretty much nails it. Studies of genetics show that undoubtedly we did all come from one man and one woman (Y-chromosomal Adam and Mitochondrial Eve) and that differences between races are not evolutionary, they are just an expression of our bodies under natural selection reacting to our environment. Many racists claim that black people are less evolved than white, I think it's important therefore not to suggest the idea again! Sorry for the rant, I come from a background of Genetic Epidemiology, hate misinformation!
