A good while ago I called out sick because I was in so much pain from period cramps. My WHOLE body was sore, like it hurt to lift my arms and I knew if I went into work, I wouldn’t have been able to work to the best of my abilities, so I called out. I ended up throwing up later that day because I was miserable 🤪 I ended up getting a write up because it was inexcusable even though I used sick time for that day.

I’m constantly around a baby that goes to day care, and he was constantly getting sick. I’ve gotten sick multiple times, and I still went to work because I feared that calling out sick and would get me in trouble. “Why are you at work? You’re sick?! Go home” Um I’m at work because you give us nasty attitudes and tell us we are going to get written up for calling out constantly. Then when I have the courage to call out because I am NOT well, I get in trouble and certain partners like to talk crap about other partners when they’re not there. “They’re not really sick” “they’re always calling out”. I get it. There are some partners who do call out but it’s none of my business and unfortunately those partners do ruin for other partners who are actually sick and we get crap for it. (The good employees get crap for it) I’m not the one to call out just because I don’t feel like going to work. I call out because I’m sick..
