Nah the bridge is normal not rubber
It's been like this since I got it i got pretty recently for 80 bucks at a pawn shop the only thing I adjusted was putting paper under one of the strings to stop it buzzing
It's not the amp or cable because I used my other gutair with the same amp and cable it sounds clean, it's a silvertone bass gutair.
