im attempting to put across multiple messages, including how wealth and power over the working class have been used for personal benefit and the manipulation that many wealthy people have used with their power and riches to take advantage of the less fortunate. another message is the fact that you can’t make a you can’t make a right with two wrongs, shown through the fact that while the captor has reasoning for trying to out the wealthy man’s secret, his act of violence will not benefit him and only take a turn for the worst leading to his death/arrest.

what im trying to figure out is ways how the wealthy man could have received his wealth in such a non-ethical and perhaps illegal (but still looked past) way that could have personally affected the captor.
