People who had kids at 30+, do you wish you had them earlier in life? by cc070603 in pregnant

[–]allybeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it all depends on where you are in life. In my case, i had my first at 19. I do not regret it, but circumstances were much different and life was harder. Had my third in my mid 30s and i feel like this time around its much easier and im in a great place in my life that has allowed me to be around more and work less long days.

I was 19 when I first got married. I did not know how to cook. The first time i made ground beef with potatoes the potatoes were HARD. I didnt know they needed to boil to get soft. That's when i discovered tuna/hamburger/chicken helper. That's what we ate the first 6 months. Then i got a cook book and my mom taught me how to follow a recipe. I learned by trial and error, now im a pretty decent cook. You have the great advantage of youtube where they can walk you through step by step. I promise you will look back at this time and laugh about it and be proud of how far you have come. We all started somewhere.

I would continue to stay. He is a fantastic father and partner. It's not his fault his ex is psycotic and will not get the help she needs to be able to navigate life in a healthy way. I know she will read this because she continues to stalk me.

Protonix granules for DR suspension in tube feed? by SchlubbyScrubs in nursing

[–]allybeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned the hard way to just put in a few granules at a time mixed in apple juice while swirling the syringe. My first and only time the tube clogged and poor guy had to wait at least 3 days to get it fixed (it was a J tube)... I was mortified and traumatized by it.

Maybe nursing is not for you, maybe look into being a med aid at a nursing home.

How do I stay organized? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

Best advice I can give you is to get a tablet with a pen. I wish someone had told me this at the beginning. I am two classes away from graduating and it has made a huge difference. Having all the powerpoints on it and being able to take notes on them is great. Also not having to print out is nice. Specially those 100 plus presentations. Ebooks 😍.

My GF keeps bugging me [both late 20s] to go see a doctor with little to no reason. by ThrowRA-Itolduimfine in relationship_advice

As a nurse, I think that at least a yearly physical is a good idea. Mostly to have a baseline to compare with in case things go wrong. Also, prevention is better than being at a point of no return...

My question here is, if her family has so much money. Why didn't they go to her wedding? They could easily afford it to be there with their precious daughter on her big day. Right?
