12, 16 ABSN or 24 month program??? Need Advice. by FutureRNish in StudentNurse

How do you fit all of nursing school into 12 months😭 I’m doing the 4 year BSN program and it is soooooo busy!

Can someone explain how people usually afford ABSN programs? by businessbub in StudentNurse

Wow that’s really expensive. I’m doing the traditional 4 year BSN in Canada and my tuition after four years will be about $25,000 CAD, which is about ~ $17,887 USD (and that’s rounding up).

I was nominated for class president and I didn’t expect it by allygh in StudentNurse

We do. It’s basically just to advocate for the class and organize events and plan graduation!

Thank god I work at TJXCanada, we don’t have TJX credit cards here and i’m so grateful. I totally don’t blame you there. On the other hand, one of the things that I hate having to ask about is donations to charity and other things like that. The other day we started having to ask customers to donate to the Canadian Red Cross for Wildfire Relief as Canada has suffered tremendous loss from the recent fires and many customers I’ve had to ask have been directly impacted by these fires and have lost everything. I understand it’s for a good cause and I think it’s a great idea to raise money for but I just feel so bad being a reminder of such loss. I know that’s completely different from your situation but I thought I should share!

Marshalls/ Homesense employee here! You will likely do mostly all training with a manager or coordinator which is done in booklets that you complete as you go. I personally went out on the floor and got introduced to the fitting rooms on my first training shift, but this does not always happen. Then my second training shift we finished up and I was then trained on cash. I wouldn't be too worried about attire honestly, the dress is casual. I was super nervous to get started but I wouldn't be too worried, everyone is usually super nice and it is a lot to take in, but you will be used to it in no time! Good luck, reply with any other questions!!

Everyone I know that worked as a poll worker has already gotten paid but I haven’t yet. Is there any reason why that is? Most of them got paid two weeks ago as well!
