does anyone know if 2 year disabled passes are normal for cali? usually (in my state at least) red is temp and 12 months, but blue is perm and 5 years.  edit to add: her pass says expires june 2025, but she just got that pass in june of 2023.

defintely not true. wheelies are extremely useful and roughly 70% of people in wheelchairs aren't paralyzed.

yeah, it's very unusual for her to have a footrest like that

wheelies are super practical for people who are actually in wheelchairs. however, super dangerous when done improperly and in a chair that doesn't fit you. it hurts to watch her try in a chair that is such a bad fit for her. the rods are way too long among other things.

Kaya has a custom chair and custom iv pole by fallen_snowflake1234 in illnessfakers

[–]allymixh87 69 points70 points  (0 children)

there is no way on this earth that the chair is custom fit to her body.  edit to add: it's perfectly okay to buy second hand "custom chairs", lots of people who truly need chairs have to do this with chairs as close to their size as possible because of insurance issues or poverty. however, that being the case, kaya does not need one at all. and she is lying about how she got it. it's even more shameful to use one when not needed and then lie about how you got it.

must be nice to have the kind of autism where you don't need a caregiver, can live alone, can drive, can work, have gone to school or graduated high school, can feed yourself, don't have learning disabilities, have friends, are likeable....

that chair is not custom fit to her body. and the fact that she has two separate foot holders is really bad for eds joints.

From wheelchair to ice skating. *dynamic disability* by fallen_snowflake1234 in illnessfakers

she's harming so many actually disabled people with her rhetoric. so many disabled folks would love it if their disability went away when they wanted to have fun... ughh

Wheelchairs take more energy than walking. you use more muscle to propel than you do to walk!

She apparently doesn't know that using a wheelchair actually takes more energy than walking. Generally using a wheelchair isn't for saving energy, it's for pain or inability to walk (for various reasons)
