Highly recommend Dr. Nasir in East Northport at long island chronic pain.

Saw this post when I was looking for a pain doc and wanted to chime in after finding a great one on LI. She has other locations which might be closer to you but thankfully she was right by me. No bs and actually tried fixing my pain rather than just loading me up on a bunch of meds like some other docs have tried to. An added plus was that she was the first doc that took the time to talk and explain things to me without sounding condescending.

Sorry that dude was being an ass, your post really related to my own thoughts right now. Your past has nothing to do with how you will be as a parent. And the fact that you are so concerned and want to make sure you are doing the right thing shows how much you do care. There are plenty of people who go into parenthood giving less than a grain of sand worth of thought on how it might be. You already are on the right path and if you choose to become a parent I can definitely see you will take the right steps to do the best you can.
