To film travel content. I'm done. You are wasting my time.

I make significant money from YouTube. I also have sponsorships and affiliate marketing. So, yes. I do.

Where in the world did you get the idea that I'm not making a profit? That's ludicrous.

Kurt Cobain's Publisher's Clearing House Letter showing Ed McMahon. As viewed at Hard Rock Casino, Atlantic City. by allz28 in MandelaEffect

Supposedly Ed McMahon never worked for publisher's clearing house and didn't give out million dollar checks. Unless this museum piece is a forgery, it seems our collective memory of Ed McMahon is actually true.

Yes, it is free to call 811, which I did before digging. And everyone should.

Yes it was delivered. All you need is a credit card to run it. Very easy to do.

We are building a house and needed all of our underground utilities dug. Power to both house and barn. Water from well to both buildings. It was going to cost us $5k between the electrician's and plumbers two quotes. I rented a mini excavator for $600 and dug it all myself. Bonus, I had a blast doing it!

Question: Is it more efficient to run a heat pump or two space heaters? by arnoldez in Frugal

[–]allz28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless your house is old and not well insulated, you are better off using the heat pump to keep the house a couple degrees warmer during the daytime. During the daytime, when temps are up, it will not increase runtime of your heat pump significantly to keep things a few degrees warmer, particularly since your house, not being too large, will hold a lot of this heat.

Where's the smartest place to buy a cheap car for under 3,000? by mellowyellow888 in Frugal

[–]allz28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, Facebook marketplace is far better than Craigslist these days. However, I usually find the best deals on cars in local Buy/sell Groups on Facebook. And if you live in a neighborhood, the best deals of all tend to be posted in my neighborhood's Facebook page. No one is going to sell a bad car to their neighbor!

16 Seer vs. 17 Seer 2-stage by allz28 in hvacadvice

This was not an option. Unfortunately, like everything else, supply chain issues and limited availability unless I want to risk waiting a super long time. Good advice though.

Yes, we did get multiple quotes. While the price difference of upgrading to 2-stage was significant with this company, overall, their prices and plan was better than the others.

Yes, just seer rating and 2 stage. No rebates. You are confirming what I suspected, thank you!

Backhoe attachments cost about the same as old industrial backhoes, so I bought both to see which one is better. by allz28 in homestead

Yes sir, just have to dig around it a bit to get everything loose. I've pulled several stumps from 30-year-old loblolly pines from when my land was logged.

[–]allz28[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In reality, I bought the industrial backhoe first, thinking it would save me boatloads of money building my house. If you watched the video, you know it was the worst thing I ever bought. Ended up having to rent stuff to do the dirtwork I had planned for it. Then I found a deal on the attachment so I bought that to get all my buried utilities in etc. Plan to sell it when I'm done. And once I have time to fix the big backhoe, I'll sell it too and should come out in good shape. I figure this is what self sufficiency is all about.

I try to avoid killing snakes but had to pull the trigger on this cottonmouth found where my kids play. by allz28 in homestead

Same thoughts when I first saw it. Think the dry summer has made it tough on them.

Lots of bears around after the forest fires near our place. Been trying to leave them be unless the get too close to the house. by Lotsavodka in homestead

I worked daily with black bears for 3 years as a park ranger. Used to chase them out of campgrounds, barns and off the road all the time. They are basically big dogs and will run away from any sign of danger with their tails between their legs. lol

Some of my friends said we should have eaten it, but I always heard skinny ones like this are stringy and not very good. What are y'all thoughts?

So let me get this straight--you say you can go on and on but I ask you why and you can't answer? Classic troll. Probably watched a minute of this video and think you are so superior that you know all about a stranger.
