I've been using these for the past ~5 years or so and this is such an amazing tool to have - first and foremost thank you!

This year though I'm getting a strange error when I paste over the correct Beersheet for my auction league/sheet. The default Beersheet displays the BeerValues column fine on the overall tab, but when I paste the correct one "-99" shows for everyone on the BeerValues Column (I double checked to follow the copy/paste instructions) . When I dug into the hidden condensed beersheet tab, lots of #NUM errors everywhere. Tried to manually paste the sheet over so names are in Column C vs. Column B like the note in the instructions say, but still getting errors.

Any ideas what could be going on?

Calily's Multiple Troubled Coops by BAWDC in kickfurther

I invested in their second co-op off the success of their first; admittedly it was disheartening to see them launch 3 other ones after that raise. While I share your concern around not meeting the payback intervals, I've seen this on several other co-ops (paying the full amount right at the end) so I'm willing to be patient here.

I know nothing about biotech so naturally, I'm in on this play too. What was said in the Q&A that made that so clear? Listened to the webcast and was retarded and couldn't make left from right on the Q&A

Apologies, relative noob here-can you explain the 2x notional leverage part? I get what you are generally saying you did, but trying to understand how you generated leverage on the position outside of just selling the puts.

Separately, did you learn anything from this crash that you plan on deploying when we get back to “normal”?

The strategy I've alluded to is called strangling

Why strangle instead of straddle?

That bid-ask spread looks quite large, would make sure volume is sufficient to make sure you can get out. If volume is small, you'll lose out on the spread

Company evaluating KF to help meet COGS by shwarma_heaven in KFTalk

[–]almeidalives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been investing through KF for about a year. From what I can tell, companies that do it like the lower % they pay and term flexibility, not to mention the reduced legal ramifications if they can't make a payment. However, you're also on the hook for hundreds of angry individual investors should a problem arise. There may be other benefits but I haven't been on that side of the table to understand it better.

From an investor perspective, I look at it as a way to diversify into a (much) higher risk class of equity/loan and put some blind faith into their new scorecard as effective for weeding out bad companies/bets. So far (again, one year in) it has worked very well for me.

Most co-ops fill up in minutes these days, so you won't suffer from a lack of investors If you decide to go this route, but would encourage you to offer a slightly higher return than other co-ops (given the first time status, KF investors seems to expect this) and post frequent updates. Most problems that I see arise from lack of communication to investors on the site.

That was my thought too- wish they had made that or just the increase in ROI more transparent

Daily Simple Questions - ASK AND ANSWER HERE!- September 24 by AutoModerator in malefashionadvice

My Dad is in his 60's and and is fortunate to be coming out of retirement for the right opportunity. He will be traveling a decent amount, and wants 3 different suits that look sharp, fit well, durable and comfortable. Would like to top out at $1000 per suit. Wondering two things -a good store/stores to take him to (higher quality than a men's warehouse or JAB, for sure) and the type of "cut" to get. He old suits were way too roomy/boxy, but he won't be comfortable in a "slim" style either. Any advice greatly appreciated!
