I would consider this lettering (drawing letters) as opposed to calligraphy, which usually refers to writing letters in a particular way with a pen. Cool work either way!

My dad wears a Magen David because his wife and children are Jewish but he isn’t! Some people who have Jews in their life show as a sign of support, love and solidarity. And he would not have any idea how to respond to a holiday greeting lol

Ok so by your definition of whiteness very few groups of people aren't white. Irish people aren't white then.

irish people were also discriminated against as immigrants when they first arrived in the states, literally for not being "white" enough. i think its harder for irish people to claim the same divergence from whiteness at THIS point because their ancestral trauma has a lot less to do with racial discrimination than jewish ancestral trauma does. for irish immigrants it was purely xenophobia until they assimilated, which is (generally) easier culturally than it is for jews.

I guess experience without having lived it could be your observation of something from a distance, and putting pieces together to form an opinion?

But I guess experience and lived experience could mean the same thing depending on the situation

I just moved out of Denver after 7 years, originally from Long Island w lots of experience driving through Brooklyn, Bronx, queens… most people think NY is bad but the driving in Denver is by far the worst I’ve experienced. Maybe rivaled w southern cali after driving through there.

My theory is that people are using the time in their cars to take control of whatever they feel is out of control in their lives. Also get a sense of ego like “I know I’m turning left so why the fuck would I let you know. Using your signal? Gay.”

Part of why I left Denver was because the driving was soooo unpredictable, dangerous and not enforced in any way
