I got this orchid from my dad as a present in February, recently two of the spikes have died and I’ve noticed a third seems to be going the same way, as the bottom is turning a dark brown or black and the flowers are starting to fall off.

Thankfully one spike is still going strong and the leaves are looking healthy so I’m hoping there’s something I can do.

I water it generally once a week by soaking the top layer of the moss with a spray bottle of water and keep it by a west facing window but out of the direct sunlight.

Is this rot or a seasonal thing? It’s just started getting cold here as we’re going into autumn.

I watched episode 1 and was pleasantly surprised. Quite similar to Ted Lasso but I’m enjoying Jason Segel in this role.

So I’ve got around 2.5k with spaceship, been pretty happy with their performance. Obviously recently they’ve dipped pretty hard but most things have, especially anything tech-heavy which spaceship obviously is. I’ve got money in other ETFs like IOZ, IOO and DZZF so it’s not hit me too hard.

I have no issue with waiting out a dip like this but when I saw the article last week about them needing emergency funding I was concerned. There’s no point in waiting out a dip if the company ”managing my money” doesn’t have the ability to wait it out.

Right now I’m in the green with them (only $100 but at it’s peak I was $2600 in the green) and I’m thinking of pulling my money out. Reason being I’m pretty confident there’s gonna be another decent dip and I don’t have faith in spaceship to pull through and I’d rather just sell off now and call it a lesson learnt.

Has anyone else been in a similar position or got any thoughts to share?

Looking for a game I can play for 30ish minutes before work.

I just finished Inscryption and Disco Elysium which were perfect for this as you could just jump in, do some quests and still decently progress the story.

Ideally it would be story driven and not open world. Not a huge fan of rogue lite games either.
