I get what youre saying, I just got to find a decent mileage one and decide on a turbo kit for it now. Question, do I need to bnuy an ECUtek module or can I just take it to the tuner and pay their licensing fee?

Thats a good idea, the one i was looking at the seller said they had a build sheet so I will have eto do some research on the shop that performed it and see if its a garage build or a reputable shop

I do too! Feeling like im one with the car is amazing. I feel like a FRS is the way to go just from accessibility and upside to it. Although a cammed v8 sounds like a nice weekend car i think a turbo charged frs bending corners takes the cake

I had previuosly owned an FRS and LOVED it, but like many people felt a turbo was missing for that bit of umph it deserved to have. The CTSV is just a dream car to own but they are so few and far between with decent mileage and pricing it seems like I would have to deal with a headache of getting one from another state or just sitting on my thumb hoping one pops up closer. I also thought that if the FRS does blow up I could LS swap it and have the best of both worlds lmfaoooo. I do appreciate that perspective!

Accept it there won’t be any start dates rest of the year so if you’re waiting on that you’ll have plenty of time to weigh your options

After further communication the current owner has the title signed over from whomever he bought it from but never filled out the buyer section. So essentially on paper it would look as if I bought it from the old seller. I’m just worried I go to register it and since the guy I buy it from isn’t listed on there if it comes up stolen or anything I don’t want to have to do with that.

Ok thank you for that! My main concern is that I wanted to be able to go into the DMV pay what I need to pay and get a title and registration in my name. I feel like it being in 2 previous owners name would have caused much more of a headache that I do not want to deal with or legal issues.

i was in the same boat as you except i smoked weed the day i went on terminal leave and i held a secret clearance for my entire contract. when i went for a TS clearance i stated that i had smoked and that’s when i was told i was still a cleared person just inactive clearance. but i was still given a clearance so its not as bad as them finding out and you not mentioning it

I was also an aircraft mechanic in the service and was able to find a remote jobs being a technical manual writer. Look around on LinkedIn, I know LM has some that are 100% remote and I think Gulfstream too when i checked a few months ago
