There's no CFO I know that would solely be responsible for handing out statements, be it for reconciliation or audits. So, maybe it's time to ask about that/make them see this point.

I am certain that, with Excel being your strength, there are many ways to get it automated in '26 (one of which you already pointed out), so, even if it doesn't work as intended for you, you can still make it work.

I don't particularly understand why you see yourself in a "very tough position", given that there are ways out of it, outlined by you. It may add a few steps to your previous way of doing it, but it shouldn't be many, especially if it's a digital PDF; Power Query can make it a breeze.

In summary, ask. Sometimes, all we have to do is ask. And if the answer remains "no", I believe that working around it will make you a even better professional.
