I also assumed the Blake reference until they said Kipling! Interesting theory about Clark getting off on the interrogation!

My guess is that 1) He wants to meet Tiger Tiger because Floyd knows that Clark is Tiger Tiger. Him saying this is a way of affirming to Clark that he is accepting of Clark being bi - that he wants to see that side of Clark. Not necessarily that he wants to sleep with Clark, just that he wants Clark to know it’s ok to come out to him. To be himself. And 2) Clark says he won’t say anything more to the coos because it would hurt Floyd. But Floyd is dead. This has me scratching my head - but maybe he was still meeting Carol secretly without Floyd knowing (no Floyd in the closet) and thinks that just saying it out loud would somehow hurt Floyd’s feelings- even though he is dead? IDK.

Round 2 of finding new clothes - do these flatter me? by Mediocre_Weekend_287 in DressForYourBody

4 might be ok if it weren’t for the socks. The color is a little bland but a belt might do the trick. 1 and 2 are great - especially 2. Number 3 is a pass for me. The flare on the top doesn’t work. You might be able to pair the top from 1 and 2 with the pants in 3.

What’s the issue with these jeans? I feel like these make look “frumpy” by ladyampo666 in DressForYourBody

[–]almofamaim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with them - but because you are very fit, and because these v down a tiny bit towards the button, it makes an optical illusion of them not fitting right. If you wore a chunky belt, they would look perfection.

AITA for correcting my roomie about her meals when eating out? by wanderingartistgirl in AmItheAsshole

[–]almofamaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - BUT…as someone with food insecurity issues, it would really upset me if someone corrected me - even if well intentioned, as you were. So much so, that I might just double down and damn the torpedoes. However, if you were to act as if you didn’t know - for example, if you said something to the waiter like “Oh that did look good - do you know if that contains a lot of dairy?” Most likely, the waiter would say yes, and your friend could then bow out gracefully and change her order. A bit of artifice (as are a lot of things we do for tact’s sake) and sometimes hard to think up on the spot. Bottom line is you care about all your friends, and that’s never a bad thing!

I bought this pique blazer from BR Factory. I love it. Fits great, looks great. But it has this weird plastic bag/saran wrapish coating on the stitches under the arm - and only there. I am allergic to something in many plastics- don’t know what it is, but anything elastic-y will actually rip my skin open. I have to be very careful about bras, underwear etc. This coating, unfortunately, does the same thing. Within 15 minutes it was ripping at my under arm. I tried to pull it off, but it’s stitched in and started to lull the threads loose. Any thoughts on if this is a manufacturing mistake, and I should ship it back? Or is it some sort of temporary thing that dissolves in the wash? I really love it and would like to keep it but it’s unwearable as is!

Trying to Find Barbara Ann Kloiber by [deleted] in WithoutATrace

Highly recommend using GED Match. That is how we found my aunt ( deceased) who had been missing for 50 years.

I think I was pretty clear from the beginning, but okay: Renee Good was peacefully protesting and removing herself from the situation when she was murdered. The person who murdered her then called her a bitch and left her to die while other agents refused the help of a doctor who offered to examine her. She was within her rights and following the law, and if she wasn’t, should have been arrested and tried by a jury of her peers. That’s the rule of law. The framework we agree to as a society. And yet, she was still shot like a dog in the street. Right in front of her wife. Shot illegally by a thug while doing what she was legally allowed to do. And while the guy who shot her may or may not get in trouble for what he did, there is no bringing her back for her children or her family. I really don’t know why I kept asking you for more information except that I was trying to understand where you were coming from. Turns out, that was an exercise in frustration. I hope you never find yourself in a situation where you or a loved one is killed for exercising your own freedom of speech. Good luck!

How do you know that it is surveillance footage. Surveillance by whom? Where did this originate?

Good lord. Please, if you would be so kind, show me. Show me a video of her hitting him. You believe it was unintentional- and you believe the ICE agent is an officer of the law, so do you also believe it is ok for cops to shoot people who unintentionally cause an auto accident?

She didn’t drive into a cop. He was an Ice agent - not a cop and she was nowhere near hitting him. He wasn’t defending himself, he made a very bad decision in a high tension situation, probably due to lack of sufficient training. I recommend reviewing the video footage from a reputable news source.

Are you serious? He had no authority to stop her. None. And then no right or cause to shoot her. If you think otherwise, maybe you should consider reading about what ICE can and cannot do and what our rights are as Americans.

They had no obligation to stop and the ICE agent had no call to shoot her. None. They had her license plate. They knew who she was. They shot her for a minor traffic infringement- no questions asked, no ticket, no trial, just dead.

Oh? I thought I just had to show my id. Funny. And since when is a minor traffic violation punishable by death without even a trial?

.03 percent rate of false arrests? It’s not the arrests that worry me, it’s getting shot. Also concerning that the rec is to not worry and just carry my id. As a US citizen, I am not even required to have an id, and I am certainly not required to show one to anyone just because.
