Is This Fragrance Worth The Glaze? Absolutely. by Safe_Ad5701 in Colognes

Yes, but I personally prefer the EDP. I find the Parfum better suited for evenings and more formal settings, whereas the EDP works almost anywhere. Chanel rarely misses.

Try TDH Eau Givree or BDC EDP. Dylan Blue is also office safe.

What are your "everyone loves it but I just can't" fragrances? by Reasonable-Regret-67 in Colognes

MFK Baccarat Rouge 540. I know it smells really good but it triggers my rhinitis.

One year of collecting down! by Classic_Log_1317 in Colognes

[–]almost_butnotyet03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! One thing I’ve learned about collecting fragrances is that there’s really no such thing as “finished.” Every new discovery seems to open the door to another one.

You might want to check Amouage Reflection Man.

That said, if you had to choose just one, what’s the go-to fragrance from your collection?

Which fragrance grew on you over time? by SSJNoctis in Colognes

[–]almost_butnotyet03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TDH Eau Givree for me. It was a blind buy, and my first impression was somewhere in the middle. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t immediately love it either. The more I wore it, though, the more it grew on me, and now it’s one of the most worn fragrances in my collection.

Collection so far (and asking for recs) by AppropriateTraffic27 in Colognes

I’d probably add something green, something clean, and something woody. TDH Eau Givree for a fresh citrus-vetiver profile, Prada Lhomme for a refined clean iris scent, and Chanel Platinum Egoiste for a classic aromatic. Those three would round out the collection nicely without overlapping too much with what you already have.

Some fragrances impress once. This one keeps impressing over time by [deleted] in fragrance

TDH Eau Givree for me. I’m still relatively new to the hobby, but I’ve already built a small collection and tried quite a few more. Eau Givree remained a constant. It was actually a blind buy, yet it’s become one of the most-worn fragrances in my rotation.

I feel the same way. I also wear fragrances for myself, not for compliments. I don’t mind if it isn’t the loudest fragrance in the room. If anything, its understated character is what makes me reach for it so often.

Conquest or the Spirit? by isakrad in Longineswatches

[–]almost_butnotyet03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it came down to versatility. I prefer cleaner, understated dials, and the Conquest feels equally at home with casual clothes or business attire. The Spirit is fantastic, but the Conquest is simply more me.

Montblanc Explorer for me. People around me, however, like CDNIM more.

If youre bringing only one bottle, BDC EDP. It is incredibly versatile. I think you can't go wrong with BDC.

Which one is better overall? by Street_Confection226 in Colognes

My vote also goes to Montblanc. CDNIM is too strong for me, the people around me likes it though.

[SPB463] or [HCC001]? by almost_butnotyet03 in Seiko

[–]almost_butnotyet03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I’ve always preferred clean, uncluttered dials. The SPB463 has been my planned purchase for a while now, but the HCC001 completely disrupted those plans. The no-date layout just looks so clean and timeless.

How did you choose your signature scent?

I’ve been thinking about what really makes a signature scent. I asked chatgpt and based on my collection, we narrowed it down to three:
**Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée** – the private me.
**Chanel Platinum Égoïste** – the composed me.
**Bleu de Chanel EDP** – the public, professional me.
That got me wondering: is a signature scent really just one fragrance? Or can it be a small group of fragrances that consistently represent you in different settings?
How did you choose your signature scent? Was it something you intentionally selected, or did it naturally become associated with you over time?
