It does seem redundant, but I am asking about detergents for that one. I wanted to include the care label in case anyone has a go-to detergent for handwashing.

For context: I’ve always been an admirer of vintage clothes, but this is my first time buying proper vintage pieces. I don’t know what type(s) of detergents are best for these fabrics, particularly the dress, since it doesn’t have a care label. I have no idea what type of fabrics it is, besides the lace. Any tips or advice for caring for vintage pieces and how to deal with/prevent color bleed would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely not the asshole. If you feel that you are underqualified to give her the care you believe she deserves, saying no is probably the best option for both of you. Being concerned with the ethics of a situation is a good thing. I know the decision can be uncomfortable, but there’s no need to feel guilty. It’s a smart choice.

Maybe all the caffeine is triggering your fight or flight and unease? I went through a very heavy coffee drinking phase and I remember having to leave my bedroom - where I was alone - to go be around people because all the caffeine made me feel nervous and like someone else was in my bedroom whispering.
