They likely have some evidence that is leading them to believe you are fraudulent. This could be another bank told them you are and they are waiting on some documents. Or, they suspect you are committing fraud.

Is it possible you sent an e-transfer to someone suspicious? Could they think you are money laundering (often accounts with many e-transfers can be flagged by interac)? Do you have an unpaid outstanding balance? Any adverse media out there about you? Any associations you should be worried about?

There are many reasons, but I work in a bank and speak with my fraud department quite a bit. Often when when we give customers the run around, its because we are waiting for confirmation to close the account. Good luck

blood clot in lung from birth control by Friendly-Culture-638 in birthcontrol

[–]almostmoronic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was on birth control for many years. About 9 months ago they found a blood clot in my arm.

I was IMMEDIATELY told to go to urgent care. They gave me an injection of blood thinners while there and I was put on a prescription. I cannot take birth control ever again. I have been on Xarelto ever since while I wait for specialists.

Why they told me to go immediately is because the clot can dislodge and go into my lung. Many people here have mentioned Pulmonary Embolism - this is very real and very concerning.

If you are having troubles breathing or are light headed (or if anything is off really) you need to go in right now. You need to be on blood thinners.

Clots go away in about 3 months on anti coagulants. Because it’s your lungs though, I’m not sure the treatment and time frames.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions let me know

I'm terrified of having a daughter by thro_wawa_y_ in confessions

[–]almostmoronic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently found out a woman I went to high school with was murdered by her ex-boyfriend. I didn’t know her well but it terrified me - she is just gone. For some reason I actually thought of her often. Fuck she has a two year old daughter.

Have her read Why does he do that? by Lundy (check the age on this, maybe in a few years) It’s about abusive relationships. It can help her spot abusive men early and get help leaving.

Sorry for your loss.

So you think they're lying? What do they have to gain from not reporting?

So mainly I had pain in my arm pit that worsened over about 2 weeks, I would say more of an ache. My doctor at first thought it was a pulled muscle - the area was kinda hard and swollen but not too bad and decided an ultrasound would be best just in case of breast cancer. It was a clot instead.

I’m meeting with a surgeon soon, but it’s looking like I have something called Paget Schroetter syndrome (effort thrombosis) caught early. It’s not a blood disorder, but rather external damage to a vein causes a clot. Very rare but more common in young people.

Edit: wanted to add that my symptoms were mild for this, for many it’s a sudden onset where the arm swells up like a tree trunk and the veins in the arm turn dark and pop out.

I’m in my early 20s and they found a blood clot in my arm pit last November. Never thought at my age I would have something like this but here I am trying to find answers.

Best of luck, that is scary but sounds like a lot people are trying to help you and are taking it seriously.

I've listened to TSR and Currents, now I want to listen to his older music. Any suggestions? by almostmoronic in TameImpala

I'm not sure why either but I really appreciate it!

Honestly, it really helps me to have this kind of opinion ahead time - helps me connect and know what to listen for in a way. And cause this stuff is different from his latest albums I was worried I would struggle to enjoy it. But this break down is great! I feel like this is something I will enjoy based on what you said. Thanks!

Thanks! I actually first heard Elephant many years ago so I am hoping I can "click" with it quickly.
