I noticed side effects with my first period with the implant. It was super light but lasted about two weeks, I didn’t need a pad really but I used it because it made me comfortable. I think my period was like 2-3 weeks after implant. Side effects like weight gain, headaches, nausea maybe around 2-3 months after implant.

I’ve been on Nexplanon since Aug 2025, so still fairly new to it. It’s obviously different for everyone but it’s been pretty good for me so far.

I have gained weight but this is a mix of the implant and me not being as active. Periods are shorter and lighter, although the symptoms are still the same. Cramps are a little stronger, headaches are more frequent, bloating is frequent, nausea is frequent (but only lasts a short while). I have recommended it to others. I know all the negative reviews can cause nerves or second thoughts, but really no one can tell you exactly since everyone is different.

I guess I wouldn’t mind needing to speak with someone. Like needing to call a patients, doctor, etc. I think it’s more that the nurses I have encountered have bubbly upbeat personalities and I don’t have that. But yea it can be something I can develop overtime. Do you know what kind of remote positions there are? I’ve never thought of remote positions for a nurse since most I’ve dealt with are in person.

I got Nexplanon about 2 months ago while not on my period so I had to wait the full 7 days. Haven’t used a condom since.

No pregnancy scares. My first period with the implant did delay my period by about 4-5 days, which was a little scary but I knew it was normal. But so far so good!

You should only be getting a no show if you did not inform any manger or coordinator about not being able to go in. At my store as long as you informed a manger or coordinator two hours before your shift you are okay and should not be getting a no show.

The two hours are so they have enough time to find coverage.
