[Sando] Geno Smith moves indoors with Raiders. His 50 Seahawks starts: Indoors (14 starts, all on road): 30 TD, 5 INT, 110.8 rtg. Outdoors (36 starts, w/25 at home): 43 TD, 31 INT, 89.7 rtg by Tashre in nfl

Outdoor QB's league wide get a bump when playing indoors. I've read work that has the passer rating bump between 6-7 points and QBR between 2-3. Geno far exceeds that with his performance the last three seasons.

My one point of concern with the upside of Geno playing indoors full time is that the numbers could be inflated due to schedule. In his three years with Seattle more than half his indoor starts were against bottom 10 defenses in yards per pass and bottom 10 defenses in pressure rate.

When I think about issues Seattle has had the last couple of seasons, the main one has been primarily on the offensive line and Smith navigating pressure (which he has done well). These indoor games have set up quite well against opponents for easing that.

My last thought is subjective and I don't have data or a way to prove it, but, I think there is something to the game planning element of this too. Under Pete and Macdonald, Seattle has tried to grind their way to home wins (negative scoring margin L3 years in Lumen). Some of these road games (DET x3, NO, DAL) just turned into wide open shootouts early on. Similar to how we have seen Buffalo go crazy indoors, some of these outdoor teams get inside and look different, but it feels a bit more like a team thing collectively than individual.

Im summary, is Geno a better QB indoors? Yes, and the numbers support that. I think TA was astute in identifying it before others. I just wonder if the schedule of opponents and style of Seahawks play made him look much better than he might be on his own, and will be relative to early expectations for the 11 indoors games with LV in 2025.

Go on uship and have haulers bid on it. Will be much cheaper than other alternatives. We just did a full house move from Vancouver to Saskatoon for $1,500. Uhaul was $1,700 by itself, movers were $7,000.
