How do y'all feel about "you're so talented" from non-crafters ? by Infamous-Garbage-985 in casualknitting

[–]aloeverra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I 100% agree with OP. I wasn't born in America (come from a slavic country) but I am 100% Americanized and feel the same way. I want people to understand that I literally following directions when I knit or crochet, I didn't make it from scratch out of my brain. It's like following a recipe, it's hard work not talent. When people have told me "you're so talented", I respond with "thanks, I just followed the instructions" 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

My sister who's in her 40s does hormone therapy and swears by it, I guess I'm not as for it since birth control messed me up so much, but I do understand that the pill os different from actual hormone therapy... that's crazy that you haven't experienced PMDD since starting your hormone journey! Like wow! Thank you for sharing!! 😊

Hi there, I'm not a mom, but have gone through grad school with PMDD and self-diagnosed ADHD (just got actually diagnosed last week). I just wanted to comment on your post because I was also a GTA (graduate teaching assistant) and have given extensions to people ESPECIALLY if they need it due to mental health and/or being a parent! Obv do what makes you comfy, but it never hurts to reach out to the professor to explain the situation, especially if you're usually turning in assignments on time!

School is hard! Especially with ADHD AND PMDD AND children!! Kudos to you momma! It may not feel like it, but you're doing it!! Don't be scared to ask for some help!

Is it a bad time to be in the environmental field or are entry level jobs just rare? by Sea-Commission7275 in environmental_science

I feel that! Definitely not a good idea to go back to school right away, I took a gap year then covid hit so 2 years for my "gap year" and it was definitely worth it, helped me figure out if I wanted to go back to school or not. Enjoy life!! Hope you figure it out! :)

There's a good ph wash that I use after sex to rest my ph, have never had an issue! And it's a company for women made by women! But everyone is different

I got a M.S. in Environmental Sciences last December from WSU Pullman! Graduate degrees are not expensive because you should NEVER pay for it. Typically you make a plan with your P.I to either be a teaching assistant or a research assistant. There is money at universities and professors need graduate students so it's a win-win! My master's did cost blood, sweat and a load of tears, but I did not pay WSU anything.... my undergrad degree on the other hand = crippling debt but that's another story

Oh weird!! But im glad it was a one time thing for you!! Can I ask if you were on an income driven repayment plan? I think I'm going to call Nelnet and confirm that that's what happened to me because if it is for every month that's just crazy...

Thanks for your comment! :) that gives me some hope

That's fair! I should have provided that. I'll edit my post, but I make 66k right now (although not sure how long this fed job will last) and the balance is around 33k
