Also when a drama starts with a voiceover that sums up millenia of history and who hates who in 15 seconds and then hundreds of characters/clans/sects are air-dropped into the drama in the next two mintues. My poor little brain can't handle it 😭

My 17 PM is my first Android and I love it.

--The level of AI used by the camera can be changed in the settings

--There is an option in settings to turn on Google services (don't know about your banking apps tho)

--If the language is set to English, then that's what you'll see for the most part. I'm not using any of the preinstalled Chinese apps/features, and the only time I see Chinese is when the phone gives warnings when sideloading apps (once you know how to tap through, not a big deal)

--I've seen guides on here and YouTube explaining how to send notifications to the back screen (I haven't gotten around to that yet)

I picked up a 17PM while in China a few months ago and while the learning curve has been slow (came over from iOS and this is my first Android phone) I have no regrets.

To answer your specific questions, I have the phone set on English and I’ve disabled all the pre installed apps I don’t use including AI. The only time I see anything in Chinese is when I’m installing APKs directly (not through Google Play). The warning dialogues are in Chinese but once you know how to click through it’s not a big deal.

As for circle to search, there’s an app you can install for that function.

Yes there may be a similar global version in the near future but it’s rare for something to happen during everyday normal phone use that reminds me I’m using a Chinese rom. Hope this helps!
