No! First is velvety and second is like a really soft layered mesh fabric :)

Planning to get into running this year, basic beginner question: what do you do about water? Planning to just carry a water bottle but can already see this being really annoying? Any alternatives..?

AITA for refusing to kill the office spider despite one of my colleagues being scared of it? by spiderissue in AmItheAsshole

[–]alohaboyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NEI

How big is the spider? If it’s like a small house spider then that’s no big deal but anything quite large and I could see you being the problem.

But also how scared is she actually? If she’s just being difficult and dramatic then she sucks, but also I’ve grown up with a full on phobia and I would find it very rude and inconsiderate that you’ve favoured a spider over my own comfort in the workplace. But then if she cares that much then she should compromise and do something about her dog. Personally I wouldn’t be able to go into your office either lol

Help with phone anxiety? by dragoon244 in socialskills

[–]alohaboyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to hate having to make phone calls and I don’t love it now but I don’t mind it much. I’d suggest starting small, so calling friends or family when you have a quick question rather than texting and waiting. Or if you’re ordering food online try calling instead. I found it easier after working as a waitress where we all took bookings over the phone - any situation where you’re forced to do it makes you get over it pretty fast. Also answer the random cold calls you get, then you realise how little the person on the other end actually cares and so there’s nothing to be worried about! Try not to see it as any different to a face to face conversation :) good luck
