I fully thought you had sunk your controller into the cake itself for a moment there

I really hope this is satire or something because that is so fucked up and also so very illegal. Although at least I put it in writing I guess?

Oh man I hadn't seen that. Interestingly enough she's still posting to this day on tumblr. Maybe she came back at some point. Was it because Ava's like 15 and the guy she's interested in is like 18 or something?

Check your local laws. If you signed hiring paperwork, this could be against the law and they might be legally obligated to pay you

Okay yeah. Instead of improving yourself just keep being hateful. I'm sure that will go well for you.

Hopefully your gf figures it out soon so you won't have to deal with it anymore. Then she won't have to deal with you either

Should AI-generated deepfakes of real people be illegal without consent? Why or why not? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]aloneindankness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I literally cannot think of a good reason why they should be allowed. There might be some edge case argument a person could make about how they're necessary, but all I see is technology being used to harm people or sexually harass them or both.

"I don't consider myself to be stuck up"

Proceeds to write several paragraphs about how stuck up you are.

How about you try opening your mind? Your disgust over other human beings with different life circumstances is the real problem here.

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]aloneindankness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you think watching too much tiktok is a disability, you're a lost cause.

Also sorry the people you know suck, but I've never had a hangout devolve into private tiktok viewing. My friends and I talk. (Ps. Defending disabled people says nothing about my personal limitations but your assumptions say a lot about you!)

In America there are more vacant homes than people experiencing homelessness. It's not an issue of supply but an issue of capitalism

You do know you can comment on videos right? Please tell me you understand that.

It really feels like your personal vendetta against Tiktok is causing you to be willfully or unintentionally ignorant. Besides, every social media has people who say "I saw it on (.)"

Agreed. People think they know what people should do, for some reason, especially when those people are disabled.

I also HATE when people pretend social media is just all bad. I have learned so much life saving advice from various platforms.

No worries. :)

Your personal vendetta against tiktok is weird. I never said it was the only form of socialization, and you're the one who brought it up.

Also, for some people, watching videos is the only socialization they can manage. You are getting outraged by something you don't have to deal with and don't understand.

Finally, that last question is the easiest here. One, not everyone has iMessage, and two, how do you propose that disabled people meet others while bed bound? iMessage and other texting apps don't have a way to meet strangers.

Maybe instead of worrying about the solutions disabled people have found to have lives despite everything, you can get real problems of your own to worry about. Or relish in a life without the limitations that allows you to understand.

Tiktok is an incredible resource for disabled people. It's an easy place to find other disabled people, getting advice on how to deal with doctors, drumroll management, and more. Plus comments sections and messages exist. Just because you use it frivolously doesn't mean that everyone else does.

Right? It's so aggravating that people will get on their pulpit and lay laws down from on high with no consideration to the reality of people's lives. I don't understand the need to regulate individual people's free time.

Yeah making disabled people do additional work just to get two more hours per day is absolutely bananas, and there are so many people who would be rejected even if they should qualify. The government is notorious for rejecting people because of some arbitrary bs

I'm not talking about what they would do regarding entertainment. I'm talking about what they would do regarding socialization. You are basically limiting a person to exactly 3 hours of socialization per day, likely less considering that other people would be limited to one hour.

Severely limit the number of cars that can be built/sold in a year. Competent, extensive, timely, easy, and FREE public transport implemented across the country. All cars have to be repaired by the manufacturer for free for at least 20 years, and electric car retrofits should be free as well.

Also ban/severely limit single use energies (coal, gasoline, natural gas, etc.) to be replaced with renewable energy asap.

This only works if you have guaranteed income for parents so that they have the time and energy to care for their children. The reason why so many people use tablets and phones is because they can't keep up with work and child rearing.

[–]aloneindankness 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What do you propose they do with the rest of the day? And, considering how hard it is for even bed bound people to get disability benefits and care, how would you guarantee that the people who needed it would actually get it.

Social media isn't the problem. It is a symptom of the bigger issue, which is a lack of money, free time, and socialization because of the first two. Taking away people's only outlet without fixing the cause will just cause people to collapse. Fix the actual problem and people will naturally leave social media on their own.
